I think the guy is just so tough. Have a look at the photo of him on sportsnut - he looks like a boulder wearing a neck brace

I can't even begin to imagine being able to recover from something like that in such a short amount of time. I am just glad he is going to be ok

vinny pazienza fought on after breaking his neck, there were even videos if of him training wearing a halo, same as MMA legend Ken Shamrock, fought on after breaking his neck and fought a few sparring rounds with the halo on as well

That is awesome. Davis is an exciting fighter, he has been on ESPN many times before, definitely glad he's pulling through and looking forward to seeing him in the ring again.
