    Default Wlad's NEXT IBF MANDATORY

Will be the winner of a fight between Chris Byrd and Calvin Brock(as reported by Dan Rafael ESPN.COM)

What a waste of a fight; if he has to fight either of those two again. And why would they want to fight him.

I dunno what you guys are complaining about, I'd actually enjoy seeing byrd completely dismantled for a 3rd time.

I find most amusing that people are looking for the next IBF heavyweight title mandatory challenger and call it Wlad's next mandatory when Klitschko faces Brewster tonight - is this some sort of bizarre prayer/spell so that Wlad comes out looking like he's the ruler in the Division? I mean, do you remember referee Robert Byrd carrying a 6 '6'' tall guy looking more like an earthquake survivor than a 240 pounds dominant hwt fighter not a very long time ago and against that same Brewster Needless to say I don't root for Wlad or for Lamon but this one seems to become much closer than what would transpire from this post...

    wow, thats gay

at least maybe it will get rid of calvin brock, i remember back when everbody was hyping him up saying he was gonna beat vitali and bring the belt back to america

HAHAH, vitali would have destroyed him just as bad as big vladdy did, and will again, but id rather see big vladdy fight valuev or james toney, toney needs to get KTFO, but hes banned or some shit

the fight wasnt close AT ALL, big vladdy DOMINATED brewster, that was back before big vladdy conserved his energy, he doesnt get tired anymore, and even when he took like 10 straight shots from brewster he didnt fall, it was exaustion that eventually put him down

sad thing is klitch might even be better in theit third fight...

i've been looking at the ratings for the ibf and i dont see the ibf forcing wlad into a mandatory for a long time... there is no #1 or #2 contenders currently.. and guess what brewster is the #3 rated ibf..

i guess this should count as a mandatory fight for Klitch since brewster is the highest rated shouldnt it..

he might fight valuev in a year or two if valuev beats virchis or maybe rachman for his next mandatory..

i highly doubt wlad will fight byrd or brock ever again...

He hit the deck 4 times against sanders (and i don't wanna hear "He was exhausted" because that shit happened in rd2) and more recently 3 times against peter. Most people will tell you if peter had some stamina, he would've won that fight by a landslide.

the sanders fight is another story...

in the peter fight he was only legitimately KD 1ce, and it was while he was jumping back with his feet off the ground, it knocked him into the ropes and on the floor, the other 2 KDs were from being pushed downward on a followthrough

Sal, I read ur post and ur prediction on the upcoming fight ( 2 hours and 15 minutes) and I can't believe u are saying dat, I mean u gat 2 be kiddin or u r too damn anxious ( blurred) to picture it right?! Big "Vladdy" didn't dominate Lamon at all, he tried to break his way through with the long, educated and xtremely sharp left jab 4 2 rounds, suddenly he took the first big left hook ( as Lamon's cousin Chris and his wife and Don jumped from their seats 4 the 1st time at ringside) and started breathing hard... Whe he caught one already fearless Brewsta coming on in the 4th, the guy wouldn't even throw 1-twos that often, I skip the 5th round story just to mention what came out to be the last words in the bout ( Lamon's, Roy's, Lampley's, everybody's), Wlad didn't lose cause the other guy had a better chin, he lost cause he ran out of gas and right into the panic room, I agree he wasn't hurt, Lamon just showed he had heart and Wlad had to mature so keep prayin Lamon goes to pieces from the long left jab followed by the clumsy left hook in close ( a la Ray Austin), good luck Steel Hammer

i thought stamina was what people like slam klitchko for..now you are using it for an excuse for peter

wlad has and avg at worst chin... sanders, peter, and brewster could put ANY MAN on the mat... wlads knock downs had more to do with defense than having a weak chin..

most boxers who gets floored 3 times by his opponents and still wins is concidered to have a heart of a champion...but when wlad does that exact thing against peter it oh well (peter was tired, klicthko is overrated,) all that bullsh@t rather than YEAH HE TOOK SOME OF THE BEST SHOTS BY ONE OF THE HARDEST PUNCHERS TODAY AND STILL DOMINATED THE LATES ROUNDS.....

but haters hate its your job

hey punisher wanna bet turning your name to klitchko and I'll turn my name into whoever you decide?? if klitchko loses tonight.. since klitchko is so overrated...

this is a dangerous fight for klitchko tonight... i still think brewster is one of the most exciting HW's and a top 5 HW for sure...

Another fight ( vs Sam Peter) he gets knockdown from clumsy shots to the arms, shoulders, whateva, freaks out and loses strength in the legs... Damn, do u expect Manny to be there all the time "Relax, use ur jab, very good fight so far, keep doin what you're doing, keep it up", the guy PANICS man, he's not used to slug it out, why do u think he's fighting in Germany - No way, Vander would knock him down just by looking at him!

I'm not slamming wlad for having bad stamina, most people who want to try and make wlad's obvious losses disappear use it as an excuse for HIM. Using stamina as an excuse for wlad is way more ridiculous than using it for peter. Wlad was "gased" in round 5 (which is ridiculous for being the "next best thing") and lost to a journeyman. Go ahead and bring about the excuses that wlad was only 22, purity is still a jounreyman and there's no excuse for losing to him at any point in your career if you are indeed in line to become the next undisputed heavyweight champion of ANY era. I'm not a hater, someone needs to not be hugging Wlad's nuts on this forum.
