    Default Darchinyan demands rematch

Vic Darchinyan says his obsession with knockouts brought about his downfall against Nonito Donaire. And he wants the chance to prove he's the better man.

Darchinyan got ahead of himself, thought he could knock everyone out and bang - back to the drawing board.

And he will get his rematch most champions do. Especially one who has been champion and led the division as long as Vic has.

Nonito beat Vic not Vic being over anxious for the KO.

Obsession with KO, that all I see Vic has. I've seen several Vic's fights and he is definitely a strong man who can KO anyone, but I think his obsession for KO is because power is all he has. He does not have a good defense, he is not organized in his attack mostly throwing wild shots trying to KO. I don't see much technique on his style. I was very sure that a well prepared boxer with decent boxing style and decent power maintaining focus on his fight could manage to stop Vic, and this is what happened here.

In a rematch Vic has chances because of his power, but if Nino remains focus and come with the same preparation as yesterday, it will be a tough one for Vic.

In a rematch the same result will occur, maybe not as dramatic a knockout, but i see Donaire winning an easy decision against the robotic and undisciplined Vic!!

I think it's time he considers moving up in weight. If you look at his early fights he fought at featherweight and bantamweight. I was suprised he was able to make flyweight this long. Finally like with Pacquaio a few years back, he is looking weak at flyweight.

Vic is old and now bordering as "down the hill" fighter.

It's hard to teach an old dog a new trick. Vic will be Vic as usual on their rematch. The younger, smarter, and stronger Donaire will b1tchslap him again when that time comes.

Well if he's obsessed with knockouts, at least he can recieve some compensation by watching tape of his fight last night.

in those 5 rounds they had fought, I didn't see vics power bother Nonito.

That leads me to think, Nonito will beat him again and again since vics power don't bother Ninito as much as Nonitos power blasting the sense out of vics head.

Ironically, I think this loss, combined with the recent (and similar) Arce loss makes Darchynian/Arce a much more likely fight. The public can now see these two guys for what they are--non-elite, but entertaining KO fighters--and they can get it on without any concern of someone being "exposed" or losing a title or unbeaten record.

Vic looked very weak during this fight his punches did not seem to intimidate or have the effect they've had on opponets in the past i don't know if it was weight or what but that was the main thing i noticed from the beggining from there it was all downhill he's not used to being in with a guy that he's able to catch a couple of times and not have him alter his fight plan at all....

Nonito got tagged with Vic's straight left more than twice in the head and body but they were ineffective.

The "Filipino Flash" can take punch also.

Yes he did. Vic caught him hard with a shot that snapped Nonito's head back and he just came foward. If he can take some of Darchinyans punches like that and just shrug them off then his chin is at least a B+
