Can anyone remeber when we have had such a fantastic year in boxing?

The matches, the actual fights, the shocks..

through out almost all weights there have been major fights taken place or about to take place...

already we are just over half way through this year and it has been fantastic...

Still to come we got barrera v pac II

Calzaghe v kessler

Hopkins v wright

Mayweather v hatton

Magrito v williams

Rafa v isreal II

and a shit load more that will happen...

We've already had a damn good year of boxing, JMM v Barrera was a highlight for me, but the fight between De La Hoya and Mayweather was, despite what happened in the ring, a fight that had been clamoured for.

The only thing I would ask for is that British tv, even the minority channels show more boxing so I can watch more.

I forsee many threads about which boxer has the worst haircut....

Maybe one of the best years in my lifetime,the fights have been frequent and the big names are and have been just one after the other with some actually fighting each other.
It's a Vintage year for the fight game

The only downside for me is whenever someone gains more than one belt the bodies can't wait to strip them.This has been happening for a few years now but recently they get like a month then that's it.

Don't worry, I'm sure the boxing orgs have gotten the hint that the way they were doing business was cutting into their profits (god forbid they make a penny less than last year ). All you need to do is keep reminding them that boxing sales are going down and they'll do whatever it takes to fix the problem.
