That's a fantastic deal for Frank Warren. He keeps Khan, Macca etc. on ITV and gets big money from Setanta to put Calzaghe's 2 am fights on ppv.

Id guess so, i mean if they had anything about them , they try and snap David Haye up ASAP, as he is a possible star in the making, i also heard rumours of Audrey v Haye? I see Haye stopping him within 3.

I dont think ITV are keen on the 2am slots and with Hatton now prme time in USA i doubt it, i remember reading Boxing News and ITV Big Wigs were furious that one of the best fights in an British Ring ( Calzaghe v lacy) was only watched by 2 million and they said then that 2am starts will neevr happen again. Maybe thats why Frank has gone to Setanta with Joe this time.

This is cool business by Warren and you can't knock the slick way he operates..
I think there are some exciting times ahead on ITV I also can't imagine for a second that he won't have a Clause that allows him to showcase Khan on the Calzaghe v kessler undercard,he's gonna want to showcase his young prodigy in front of Millions (USA) at this 100%.
He's too shrewd not to have this already sorted imo.
    Nice work Frank

I am gutted that I have to subscribe to Setanta. Khan's fights for a year with domestic opposition and by the time he is ready for the world titles he will be ppv, which is the way all decent British fighters are headed. Less and less people will be watching the game it is being killed off.

Nice work Frank? You can't praise a man that put on Enzo-Punchbag and Calzaghe-Manfredo. At least it was on the freemens

Wait till he serves up Enzo-Hillbilly 2, Danny-Sprott-Audley-Matt 6 etc and you'll be expected to pay for it.

The MMA shows are ppv and it doesn't hurt them. They're getting the younger demographic and boxing is starting to struggle.

    However.

MMA fighters are all failed boxers. Their skill level isn't there compared to the top boxers so all boxing has to do is put the best guys together to compete. We're starting to see that. The problem is the really top guys like Mayweather now make so much money that they can pick their fights. I'd love to see Mayweather vs. Cotto or the winner of the fight on Saturday but Floyd doesn't have to do it.

In a way because the mma guys don't make that kind of money and have to fight who they're told they have a big advantage in punter pulling power because you're guaranteed a competetive bill. Either boxing has to get like mma in terms of overall organisation or mma fighters have to start making big money so they end up alphabetised/picking their fights like boxing for the playing field to even and the punters to get behind boxing again.

hahahaha noted but he's given me personally some ATG fights over the years so Frank having a stumble is nothing really
Look at the Line up for Saturday and then the Calzaghe fight in Winter

guess its a good and bad thing?

Joes undercards could very well be sub-par + khan would be passing up the chance to feature and impress on american tv live..

Good thing ofc people aint gunna feel like they been fucked by paying stupid money for fights they shouldn't have too...
