Default Could be some money to make on Tony Thompson this weekend

Just checking the betting on William Hill.

Thompson is an 11/8 underdog against Krasniqi who is at 8/15.

Considering Thompsons recent performances I'd fancy him to outbox Krasniqi who has been knocked out by Brewster and got a draw with Timo Hoffman.

Krisniqi is also giving away 20 lbs in weight, 2 inches in height and 5 inches in reach. He's also a year older than Thomspon at 36.

The fight is in Germany though so that may be why Thompson's odds are so long but I reckon of all the fights taking place this weekend he represents the best value.

I'm going to stick £25 on him.

Fuck I put £25 then found him at 7/4 somewhere else

Never mind I stll think the bookies have messed upon this one. Thompson is tall, a southpaw, awkward and a workhorse. He's a tough fight for anybody imo and Krusneqi has hardly got the most impressive record.

    I'm confident.......

I would think Tony the Tiger is atleast in the Top six of the best heavies right now, I would take him over Brock, Briggs,Ibragmov and a few others. He will win easily

It's weird though EVERY single bookie has him as a big underdog even though he seemingly beats Krusniqi in every area

Better record, higher quality of opposition, never knocked out, more KO's, taller, heavier, reach, southpaw.

Krusinqi has lost to and Brewster and another complete unknown, plus drew with Hoffman. Thompson has only lost once, a 4 rounder at the start of his career. Hoffman who Krusniqi could not beat lost a wide decision to T Ibragimov last time out who Thompson completely outboxed.

I can only assume the bookies feel it will go the distance (it most likely will) and that Krusniqi won't lose a decision in Germany.

But I think Thompson will beat him convincingly enough for that not to be a worry.

But the fight is in Germany, do you have equal confidence in the judges? It is simular to betting against a Don King fighter in Vegas.

He's a fighter with not a lot of power fighting in Germany against their main guy. Thompson's camp has said they don't really care about who the judges are. That's why

Krasniqi has never been outboxed, if thompson is gonna win it have to by by ko! I just don't think thompson has that punch or power to do that.

Yeah I remember watching the fight. It was at Hugh Heffner's playboy mansion, surely the most bizarre venue for a fight! Anyways it looked like he was wearing trainers and the commentators, I think it was Atlas and Tessitore started going on about how he was a tall guy and could suffer from a lack of ankle support. He didn't though and won pretty much every round against Timor.

HAve you ever seen Thompson box? He is a lot more skilled than the majority top ten at Heavies, The Tiger will out box and maybe even knock this guy out, Mike, I will try to find you a video of this kat.

no way Thompson gets a draw in Germany. If the fight is that close it will definitely swing in Krasniqi favor. Hometown fighters are known to get hometown decisions.

I've been waiting for this fight for a month. Con$iderable interest. This will be the last fight in which Thompson gets underestimated. 116-112 Thompson (118-110 if it were not in Germany). I think Thompson is the best American heavy right now. He beats both S. Ibragimov and Maskaev. Klitschko I don't think so, not the way he is fighting (or trained by Emmanuel) right now. Chagaev perhaps he outboxes, but the Uzbek is very very tough. You guys are right...the oddsmakers got this one wrong. What would Thompson do to Brewster and/or Hoffman? 120-108.
