I think Larry Merchant would be great to announce, better than Lennon or Buffer. It would take 3 1/2 hours to get the fight going if Merchant did the announcing.

Defiantely Lennon. He has the old skool tone to his voice.

I think they are both fantastic announcers, they both add exitement to a fight in their own ways.

I like Jimmy better though because like someone said already he has that kind of 'old timer' thing about him. Maybe he just reminds me of so many memorable fights from when the Heavyweight division was alive and kicking that I prefer him, I dunno.

One thing that is important is the way the decision is read. A title fight decision should always start with AND NEW/AND STILL.

Some annoucers screw that up.

Both are great but there's nothing like a big fight started off by buffer

i like the guy who announcers for itv boxing, didn't Micheal buffer used to be the ring announcer in world championship wrestling and ufc? his voice sure gets around

I like both,but nothing says big fight like Buffer
Its certainly not like the announcer poll I put up a few days ago about announcers
I was so torn between who I hated worse,Sheridan or Merchant

Is this a joke? Buffer is the undisputed king of ring announcers. Jimmy Lennon Jr. has a tinny voice and looks like a pedaphile. I'd take Buffer's brother over Lennon Jr.
