At times, for big fights in vegas, both have been very favourable. I remember around the days of Tyson/Holyfield, Lennon Jr was majorly in favour. Nowadays we see alot more of Michael Buffer for the big fights. Which do you prefer? Showtime or Let's get ready to rumble?

I too am with Buffer, but I'm never disappointed with lil' Jimmy.

No doubts whatsoever about the worst announcer ever....that guy who did the Contender fights

haha, haven't seen the contender. I know I should but I never got around to it.

The worst commentator I've evr heard is the dude from the Ricky Hatton DVD. His voice is just plain horrible. If you saw the replay of the Maussa fight on Setanta, he did the commentary for that. Just horrible.

Gotta give my man Jimmy a vote. I know he doesn't have that big "lets get ready to rumble" line but I love hearing him before the fights when "its showtime". He kinda has that old timers voice.

Michael Buffer is THE boxing announcer that all others are and will be compared to....

I can only imagen what its like to have him call out your name.

However, there is an announcer in New England that sounds just like the old old style announcer with that high pitch, raspy voice. That is just old school, and Classic.

I like jimmy coz he seems more down to earth than buffer but on announcing ability buffer wins imo.
