Just watched the Tua/ Ibeabuchi fight again yesterday & was wondering how the f*ck one judge scored it 117 to 111 for Ibeabuchi. I think he was very lucky to even get the decision!

I havn't watched the fight, but sometimes when you have a fight where every round is extremely close but one particular fighter keeps edges it out, then in the end you have a fight that was very close but with score cards that look like a blow out.
That was a hell of a fight IMO it took a lot out of both guys

I thought it was close when I watched it back then with a slight edge to Tua. It seemed Ibeabuchi got a couple rounds for standing up to Tua's power.

I had Tua ahead by 1 point going into the 12th but Ike won the 12th making it a draw imo.
I agree, anyone know if it still holds the record for most punches thrown for heavyweights?Originally Posted by DaxxKahn
For the record I had Tua winning 115-113. I feel a lot of people have a false impression of Ibeabuchi. Many who have not seen the fight think he defeated Tua easily in only his 17 contest & would have been the next dominant heavy had he not gone to jail. Although Ike started well & won the 1st 4 or 5 rounds Tua stormed back to take the lead! Ike did extremely well considering Tua was 27-0 coming in but had Ibeabuchi made it to a match with Lewis he would have been schooled!!!
