Default Hatton vs Floyd: Who Wins?

This is it put your money and your opinion here! Who do you think will win this fight?

    My opinion:
I see the fight as being all Ricky's. Both are top fighters and I'm not a big fan of either.

Ricky has fought a certain way his whole career. Cut off the ring and get inside while there do as much damage as possible. Force his strength on the opponent and bully them. This will happen to Floyd.
Floyd could take the fight lightly by being to cocky and sure of himself which would make Hatton's job even easier.

Hatton is going to cut off the ring and Floyd hasn't the raw power to punch him away. Speed of punch yes but not enough speed. Floyd is great at not getting hit on the chin but his opponents give him the space or he makes the space- Hatton is not going to let up or get discouraged.

Hatton only loses if he tries to box which is highly unlikely.
I honestly only see one winner in this fight and that's Hatton.

Default Fire Poll: Hatton-Maweather -12/8/07- Who wins and how??

This fight will cap off the best year in boxing in the last two decades..

It seemed before the PBF-De La Hoya fight, no big fights would get made.. but since it seems like all the fights are getting made...Pavlik-Taylor, kessler-calzaghe, barrera-pac, marquez-isreal, winky-hopkins, a HW unification, williams-margo, dawson-tarver, and several other unification bouts and possibly cotto-mosely

i think the second half of 2007 will have better fights than the first half of the year. ..and 2008 will be better..

But back to hatton-mayweather: i'll go w/ hatton by a UD.... his work-rate and stamina is better than oscar's which should make the difference. remember that DLH was winning the fight until for some mysterous reason he stopped throwing the jab.. hatton wont make that mistake...

hatton will train harder than ever and i think he is hungrier than ever and i think mayweather will underestimate hatton a little bit..

anywhere they fight there will be more hatton fans.. i think its going to happen at the MGM Vegas... and there will be tons of hatton fans so i think that will also help hatton a little bit

but mayweather has the weight and speed advantage and PBF is two inches taller than hatton.. so if hatton wins he is #1 p4p for me... coming up a division to beat p4p #1 says alot... I know beating #1 p4p doesnt automatically make you #1 but w/ hatton's destruction of castillo, Kostya, and PBF and a win would make two time RING fighter of the year out of three that makes hatton #1 p4p for me

so i think hatton by a close decision

My opinion - Hatton will win a UD, and probably give Mayweather his first genuine knockdown. I'd guess the score as 118-109. I've made a million posts why I think so.

mayweather is going to win by ko.

hattons come forward, high pressure style plays right into mayweathers counter punching and elusiveness.

i like hatton, but he loses this one badly. not as bad as gatti, but pretty bad

If there's one I'm never wrong about, it's who wins in a Ricky Hatton fight

Hatton's style is one that Floyd doesn't like too much so it is tough to predict. Hatton does have decent power and speed, but Delahoya had trouble connecting I think Delahoya is more powerful and faster than Hatton. Hatton has the ability to press and does have the ability exchange (one of the best in these 2 catagories.)... this is what I think will give PBF the most problems, but on the otherside of the coin PBF's speed, reflexes and accuracy will IMO prove to be too much in the end.
    UD PBF.

lol i think hatton might actually win this fight because of his style
all he has to do is stick with his style and hold before mayweather can punch
but again thats easier said then done.

mayweather may be fast but hatton should be able to handle it unless he backs up fast enough
    mind over speed and power

I went with Floyd, I'm hoping for a Hatton KO. I just think Floyd is just too technically sound

I'll be cheering for Hatton, but I think that Floyd will win, possibly by stoppage. Mayweather's accurate counter-punches are going to be hammering Hatton all night.
Dela Hoya had good success by applying pressure and using his jab, but I think that Floyd's reach advantage (72" - 65" according to boxrec) will go a long way towards negating Hatton's jab.
Collazo hurt Hatton with his accurate punching in their fight, and Floyd might not hit like George Foreman, but I'm willing to bet he hits harder than Collazo.

I really doubt Floyd will stop Hatton. He's not a big puncher at 147.

I doubt he'll actually KO Hatton, but I could see it being stopped on cuts or by a ref's stoppage

Hatton to fight the fight of his life and win by decision. I would not like to make a prediction on the possible scorecards.

It depends who is appointed as referee. If there was no ref in there but no fouls were allowed I think Hatton would win a very close fight. If, however we get a ref that breaks them up on the inside PBF will win on points.

Contradicting styles means one of them will end up moaning about the ref & the way he handles the fight. Both corners will be pressurising the ref to let them fight close or to pull them apart ASAP before the fight & I hate to say but ££$$$ might play a part in "persuading" him
