Default Who wins and how , Calzaghe v Kessler..

Any opinions on who wins this fight, Joe all the way for me because even now he's too fast too tuff and too versatile, and not as predictable either as Kessler, but ya cant knock an unbeaten record can ya....

But it's gotta be Joe's night in Wales he enjoys fighting and is hard as nails i feel....until I'm shown different........... Who feels Kessler can be the fella who shows me different ... anyone..

Cmon Al, I'm sure there are more important things that God has to deal with in prayers than a little scrap at a football ground. I'd imagine his to-do list looks summat like this:

    1) Sort out the middle east.
    2) Discourage Extremism
    3) Sort out poverty and food imbalance
    4) Ensure Kessler wins and unifies the SMW titles
    5) World Peace
    6) Send Jesus back to the world to sort the whole s**t out
    7) Go to the pub and get trolleyed.

Anyhow....I reckon Calzaghe will outbox Kessler till the Dane can barely move, and that the ref will step in to save Kessler at 1:59 of the final round.

I'm expecting a lot of posts along the lines of:

"I think Kessler will win, how will he do it?: I don't like Joe Calzaghe... that's how!"

I'm picking joe for a UD or late TKO... Kessler won't be able to hit him and his only defence is blocking or moving out of range... Joe's footwork and punching style aren't gonna allow Kesslers 1 dimensional style to be effective.

Joe Calzaghe is a brilliant boxer. Technical he is better with a great repertoire and he is faster than Kessler . So when Calzaghe get close to Kessler he will have the ADVANTAGE when it comes to in-fights, where I can see he could hurt Kessler.

But Kessler will have the advantage on the distance using his jab and cross, that you can´t find better elsewhere.

Some of you say he is one dimensional, but he is so fast and precise with the jab and combinations he does not need to produce more in the ring and he has hardly been pushed to the limit yet. If Calzaghe don´t get inside to deliever the goods Kessler is going to hurt Calzaghe the same way Andrade was from the distance.

    Kessler win TKO 10

Kessler is like two Lacys , he is much bigger , much faster , has a great defence , has one of the best hard jabs in boxing and he punches in combinations behind that jab , he can seem robotic because of his european style but he has good footmovent and tight well taught technique ,, he outboxed Mundine who has amazingly fast hands , that fight is a better gauge than what many think , a sneaker as far as form goes , people blow Mundine off but his speed is great and his defense to land clean on is great also ,, Kessler had back injurys in that fight and boxed beautifull ,, that tells me that he wont have any trouble with Joes speed ,, Joe power is not that great either , he has a lot of tkos but not many KOs because he is volume not power ,, but that volume and crowding could give Kessler lots of problems ,, If Kesslers jab is on the mark it will have Joe in trouble because it will prop him as it real solid and that will lead sooner or later onto Kesslers big guns ,,,, Kesslers trump card is his jab and thats what this fight is all about , if Joe can get past it he will get it , if he cant Kessler will and either side can stop the other depending who is on what side of the jab ,,, then we have Joe is 36 and Kessler is 28 , this is the same career point when Hatton fought 36 yr old KT , I reckon the age in the fight will come into it somewhere , Kessler can fight a strong 12 rnds and comes in shape and carrys enough power that he could still knock you in the last , if you write Kessler off you are blind because he is a live one and a country mile ahead off Jeff Lacy .

I see this as great fight and I cant wait for it , Kessler by late KO , an old champ has got to go sooner or later ,, and they get old in one night ,, 36 is getting to where things start to happen when the right opponent turns up , it was never going be a tv star or bika ,,, but with Kessler , the playing field just changed dramatically ,,, If Joe can win this fight its a great effort and I will definitely give hi big Kudos for beating Kessler ,,, if he can
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire

Yeah, I was really surprised Jan...finally a well argued case in favour of Kessler. That's how you do it son...no need for this name calling etc.

CC from me too. But I still think Kessler will need to be "two Lacys"....one to hit Joe from each side.

Calzaghe been in the game too long to let this sibling run an affair, While Calzaghe is a four timed vet, Kessler is still a prodigy. Calzaghe By late TKO ot UD!

That's exactly how i see it Ad,kessler is so predictable with his 1-2 left hook style that i think Joe skills will be way to much fo him and he'll just pepper his face at will.
Joe can also fight well inside which Kessler can't
