Honeygan v Curry comes to mind,

but if Rick wins ...it will be for me at least, a far superior victory than Honeygan delivered(Which was awesome at the time and still stands),
    :Britain:
And thats because I feel Ricks opponent is superior, and dare I say, it could well be the greatest win of em all ... if there are better forgive my ignorance and please pass it on..

Bob ove Dempsey was pretty big, Turpin over Robinson was huge....

    I think of recent times it's Honey-Curry....

But IMO, if Hatton can somehow pull this one off he'll def. take it cause not only is he beating the Champ and fav. to win but hes beating the P4P #1 fighter in the world.

I thought the fight had bumped off the Spice Girls World Tour from MGM?

Sorry to be a prick, CMM, but Turpins' win over Robinson wasn't abroad. It was in NW London. It was still huge though....

John H Stracey's win in Mexico City over Jose Napoles was a great result. Mantequilla had only lost 3 times in his previous 55 fights stretching over 12 years (and was 79 (55)-6 overall). Two of those losses were due to cuts which he avenged and the other was against the great Carlos Monzon. In fact, Jose beat every man who beat him except for Monzon (and John H).

For Stracey to go to Mexico in those day, suffer a first round knockdown and still go on to win was a fantastic performance.

However, Jose did get cut often and was 35 at the time so I would have to rate a Hatton win higher.

Yep, 3:30 for me too. Just enjoying a few cold Stellas before bed.

The Turpin SRR fight was one of my favo(u)rites growing up. I used to love the part where the fans sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" during the last few rounds....

Yes if Hatton beat Mayweather it will be the best ever win period for a Brit as Mayweather is in his prime.
