Default Will Cotto be fighting De La Hoya??

Cotto is officially starting his training next Monday preparing for Mosley. His camp is indicating that there are possibilities of a fight with De La Hoya, if Floyd beats Hatton and Cotto beats Mosley.

I feel that if this fight happens Cotto will be ready to beat and may be TKO De La Hoya with his body punching. Cotto vs. De La Hoya for sure will give the emotions we missed with De La Hoya vs. Floyd, although it is too early too have certainty that this fight will occur. What are your thoughts about Cotto vs. De La Hoya?

The only way Cotto stands a chance, is if he goes on a vicious low blow and elbowing frenzy again.

Oscar doesn't deserve to fight any of the top fighters his record is 3 losses and 2 wins in last like 4 years he is part time fighter now.

It looks like you lost some money with Judah. I have to totally disagree with you on this one. At this stage of his career De La Hoya does not have the same legs and he wants to really fight (I respect him for this). Cotto is a great body puncher and strong. I don't think De La Hoya will be able to finish 12 rounds in front of Cotto. Cotto winning by TKO in 10.

Oscar is still a big name and he can be dangerous with a good preparation. I think this will be a great fight because Oscar now wants to fight and Cotto will be in front of him exchanging blows and giving the best of them. Something that all of us, the boxing fans, will enjoy.

Perhaps, but the fans dictate this portion... he is still the biggest draw and probably will be for one or two more fights.

This is a dangerous fight for Cotto. I've said it before, everyone has a fighter they can't beat. I believe this one is Cotto's. I think Oscar would prepare himself awesome for this fight and possibly Ko Cotto early to middle rounds. Oscar is a smart offensive attack and will probably rattle Cotto with an early combination and then finish him off. Too dangerous for Cotto. Cotto starts off slow and allows himself to get hit early. I don't want to see this happen yet. Not until Cotto fights Mayweather because I truly think, Mayweather will lose his first fight with Cotto. I've been saying this for the past 3 years.

I would love for Cotto to beat Oscar...but it would be a tough one. Cotto will beat Mosley though.

I think this would be a far easier fight than the Mosley one. Anyway,it's never going to happen,Oscar has already ruled it out. You can see the article at boxing scene where he basically states that he would not fight Cotto because his wife made him promise he would never fight a Puerto Rican. That is not a lie, check the article if you get time.(Basically he does not want to feel Cotto's bodyshots)

If the right circumstances come, for example Cotto beating Mosley and Floyd beating Hatton, I hope De La Hoya convinces ($$$) Millie and fight Cotto, although De La Hoya doesn't need the money. This will be a great opportunity for Cotto to keep moving closer and closer to the Hall of Fame in the future after he retires and make his bank account to growth. I'm pretty sure this would be a great fight and De La Hoya will remember his fight with Hopkins. May be this is what made De La Hoya make that promise to Millie.
