It's good to have a favorite fighter. It keeps you more interested in boxing. it's exciting to defend your boxer from biased fans and even to haters.

I just love boxing and fighters who come to give us entertainment. Morales, Gatti, Barrera, Cotto, RJJ, Tito, OSCar, Sugar Shane, Tyson and plenty more. I can't say that my favorite fighter was someone of the 50's or 60's because I wasn't even thought of in those years. I'll stick to my era of boxing and say "I love to see great performances from fighters!"
if I'd had to pick one, I'd have to pick Cotto for his determination to win. The fact that I've been following him since his teenage years pretty much explains why. I told my friends in early 2003 that Mayweather's first loss will come against Cotto. They all laughed at me and said....."Who the hell is Cotto? he's not even ranked." And they laughed.... I'm sure they know who he is now! Cotto's skills continue to be underestimated by all of his opponents and by alot of people, but he continues shut them up and on NOV 10th he will do the same again.
I'd like to see Mayweather vs Cotto. It would be explosive. I'm afraid though that Cotto may be in for the most difficult fight of his career. I see Mayweather winning by points if Cotto will not knock him out.

I think Mayweather will land alot of clean shots before Cotto gets in. But I think Cotto will steal rounds by being active and agressive. Constantly coming forward. I don't think Mayweather has the power to hurt Cotto so I think Cotto will definately attack despite receiving a stiff jab or a hard right before he gets in. or even maybe a simple one-two combination. Other than that I see a lot of holding on the part of Floyd. Cotto is great at cutting the ring off for boxers who want to move. Oscar did well at cutting the ring off but lacked at attacking. He attacked, but was afraid of Floyds counter. I think Cotto could beat Mayweather but I see Oscar beating my boy Cotto. Oscar has the power and the ability to finish when hurt.Originally Posted by brucelee

Terry Norris. He was one of the most rhythmic fighters of all time. The greatest often look choreographed, like a dancer. In fact, a tell-tale sign of a beginner is that their punches look awkward, like in a street fight where everything is chaos.
But Norris, like leonard and ali, moved like dancer. everything had purpose and fit into a grander scheme. But unlike Ali and SRL, he did it while coming forward. His combinations were exquisite, precise, and powerful. He had one of the greatest combinations of speed and power the sport has ever seen. of course, he was tragically flawed with a weak chin, but that never stopped him from going for the KO.
Hello to another newbie.I dont know manju, norris always struck me as "herky jerky" Ya know?all the courage You Could hope for but his movement seemed stiff and forced.when I first started following boxing like a hermit I first saw him ko m.taylor and was awesome.hes a true warrior and he had some crazy fights.I got alot of his bouts at the forum after that and man,he just could not stop cracking people at the wrong time(like when there down)He was a class act though and every fight had the ingredients for a war.Originally Posted by Manju
Suprised to see Mayweather on your list i didn't think you liked him.Originally Posted by El Gamo
