Tonights card features as the opening bout, James "Mandingo Warrior" Kirkland 19-0 16 k.o.'s Vs. Mohammad Said 21-5-1 14 k.o.'s. Kirkland takes another step towards a title fight and is slightly stepping up his opposition in his last few fights(Ossie Duran, Lyell) . Said is a journeyman from Brazil who is said to be better than his record, he has a draw with Antwun Echols as best showing. His losses came to decent fighters Anderson Clayton, Raul Frank, and Anthony "the Messenger' Thompson. Kirkland is southpaw and has decent power, Said is orthodox, both men are 5'9".
The main event has Victor Oganoz 26-0 26 k.o.'s Vs. Fulgencio Zuniga 19-2-1 16 k.o.'s
This is a big step up for Oganov who has fought 25 nobodies and Richard Grant. His opponents combined wins losses:166-172-14. Zuniga has the edge with experience and boxing skills with his only losses coming to Kelly Pavlik and Daniel Santos who are decent fighters. His best wins are over Antwun Echols and Jose Luis Zertuche. I wouldnt be surprised if Zuniga pulled off a upset in this one. This is my first look at Oganov so he may be better than I expect.
