Wishful thinking at it's finest. These Hatton groupies make laugh
There almost as laughable as your predictions involving British fighters
Yet another clown running his mouth about predictions but to much of a coward to enter the competition. From some reason I'm not surprised

Not sure I agree with that. I think that Chavez had a shitload of power...but he just isn't or wasn't as quick nor as pressing as Hatton is & will be. I actually think that Hatton comes in a bit slimmer than usual & tries to force Floyd around the ring...but I think that Floyd has already proven durable enough at 147 & at 150ish.

Agreed...but not enough to stop Floyd or beat him. I do think that it'll be a good fight & for Hatton's legacy...I hope it aint a total blowout because if Floyd just slaughters him (ala Corrales) or works him like he did Oscar (that's right...I was there & he did!) or outhustles him like Judah ( ) then Hatton haters around the world will drag him through the mud.

Correct on Chavez...not sure if I'm on the same page of assuredness that Hatton can keep his standard blistering pace as usual. Hatton's never been hit on the button as many times as Floyd will hit him & Hatton has also not faced anyone near that skill level...when he did face someone that was a half ass accomplished boxer like Collazo...he looked piss poor.

Also...think back to the Urango bout...there was alot to be desired there too...then again...many felt Floyd paled against Oscar...which, IWHO, is total dookey.

I agree that it will be a hard fight...but not sure about the close factor. Hatton will come in head on & Floyd just backs up & peppers him.

Floyd has been hammered to the ribs on numerous occassions & rebounds just as well when popped in the noggin.

I honestly don't think that Hatton pulls the power at this weight anymore...also...this aint Castillo that Hatton's gonna be facing.

Like it or not...Hatton's facing the best fighter on the planet & it's gonna be put up or shut up.

With all of the debating here, I think it would be f**king hilarious if either fighter just pulls off a one-hit-quitter in the first 3 seconds of the first round. I would scream YEAH if Hatton pulled it off and be rather pissed if mayweather did it instead.

    BUT.....

Once the excitment wore off I would start laughing my a** off because, in the end and either way, no one on this site would be truly satisfied. Including me!

Mayweather does not run exactly how many fights have you seen of his Smash ?? staying in punching range is not running i don't actually like Hatton's style all that much he holds too much and alot of it is untidy i find Mayweather exciting he has been in about 10 fights that were good fights watch Tito vs Oscar last 3 rounds thats running outclassing your opponent while in punching range is not running.

It was Floyd's punches that stopped Chavez's workrate in later rounds and to be honest Chavez set an almost unreal pace over 100 punches in 3 rounds i think it was and 90+ in most of the other rounds except later rounds when he started to get busted up by Floyd.

OK, I'm going to spoil it for everyone... this has been building since 24/7.... late in the fight, Hatton is going to have Mayweather on the ropes and just about to take him out when all of a sudden Floyd "hulks up" turns the tide and starts beating down Hatton.... BUT out of nowhere this masked maniac comes out of the stands and knocks out Floyd with a steel chair and Hatton gets DQed

THEN Hatton walks over to el masque and pulls off the mask to reveal..... OSCAR DE LA HOYA!!!! Hatton and De la Hoya start celebrating in the center of the ring until Hatton turns around and WHAM!!! gets clocked by De La Hoya's now patented chair.... he turns around, helps up Mayweather, they both put on nWo shirts and aaawwww shyte.... B-Hop is pissed, I smell a tag team main event at the next PPV....

I could definitely see this fight being similar to the PBF vs Chavez fight, with Hatton fairing better if not winning, if it was taking place as Hatton's next fight after Moussa. Now however, both fighters seem to have changed:

PBF: appears to have "I'm on top, let's do enough not to lose" syndrome. It's often the ruin now a days of these supper fights, when neither man is willing to take the kind of risks he took to get to the top. Hopefully Hatton will press the fight enough to bring the action out of PBF, but when did PBF last throw a combination?

Hatton: The Collazo fight seemed to take a lot of the starch out of him. Then remember all the posts about how puny he looked after losing weight for Urango? That fight didn't seem to do much to restore his confidence that he could just overwhelm any man. Of course following that he took care of business with Castillo. Too bad he couldn't even get out of the ring without being told he'd beat an "old" fighter, but hopefully that restored his confidence, and he'll really take it to PBF with conviction.

One general note about Hatton: I guess he uses his quick feet to close in before taking too much punishment, but we've seen lately that that doesn't always work. If he would come in under the cover of a jab, I think he would take much less punishment and would have a longer career. Maybe too late in his career to add a jab to his arsenal?

the one thing i am worried about is Hattons jab, where the fuck has it gone? I was just watching some nice clips of him against Olivera and Tackie and he used his jab realy well to get inside, but he hasnt really used it since the Kosta fight (Which wasnt very often).

If he is to get in he needs to use the jab as a weapon i feel to not get hit on numerous times by Mayweather. I still cant see this being a landslide as quite a few people predict, people might call me a Hatton nuthugger etc etc.

But i am judging this as a fan of boxing and after this fight Hatton for me has no business at 147 where the majority of the top dogs would for me beat him, but i feel this as i have said before will be a close hard fought fight.

Layoff the narcotics Smash, that shite is effecting what little reasoning ability you have left.

Mark my words Ricky is in for a world of serious pain and humliation, I like Hatton but he is gonna get drowned in thr deep waters of this fight... So the big band can be playing and the crowd can sing blue moon till they lose there voice, but Floyd is gonna put on a showcase for the ages and its a shame its gonna be against one of the good guys of the sport like Ricky Hatton

And to say Ricky is gonna get to Floyd verbally is even funnier, how could that be? Floyd is as cool minded and disciplined fighter as we have ever seen. I doubt Ricky's verbal jabbing will have any affect on The Pretty Boy

back at ya, and just for the record, I'm taking B-Hop/Hatton over De la Hoya/Mayweather when De la Hoya takes a dive early in the match as a double, double-crossing.... that three faced bastard
