I was thinking about this fight last night, while watching the contender.

Calzaghe has so much more to lose in this fight than Kessler.
If JC loses it pretty much eliminates his shot at any of the big names.
JC is too old to rebuild his name.

If Kessler loses, he has lost to a Ring Magazine p4p fighter, but he is
still young and Calzaghe will either retire or move up or down in weight
to fight some big name, either way with Calzaghe gone and Mundine
not allowed to fight, there would really be nothing left for Kessler to
worry about at 168 except maybe the Contender champ, lol.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Calzaghe shouldnt lose to Kessler. Kessler is solid, and is just that. Calzaghe has the skills to put on a convincing win here.

I can really see only an injury being the way Kessler will get one over on Joe.

Bute is still too green, Inkin doesn't have a chance against Kess IMO.
Froch has a punchers chance and would prolly be the number 2 guy, I'd still take
Kess over him at this point.

I see Calzaghe winning this as well, I'm simply stating that a loss for Kessler wouldn't
be nearly as big of a deal for Kessler's career as much as a loss for Calzaghe would be
    for Calzaghe's career.

I agree with those sentiments completely

Fair play to Kessler if he pulls it off, but I find it hard to picture though.

ahh but what Kessler does he does to perfection. Can he hit Calzaghe? YES and I am confident that Calzaghe will get in trouble in this fight . But the workrate is to Calzaghes advantaged though.

But one thing puzzles me, since they say that Kessler is half English, and will wear the English flag in the fight, come on Kessler my English is better than yours, you sir have a big fat danish accent and a poor vocabulary, ( and mine ain´t that great at the moment, so rusty ) I doubt that any Brits fall for this cheap trick to get support. And the fight is in Wales not England !!! I don´t see the locals cheering for Kessler eitherway.

Kessler is going to walking into the most hostile crowd imaginable... i dunno if anyone was at the Manfredo fight (i was) and there was 35 thousand of us...and ive never heard anything so utterly soul destroying to anyone in my life..talk about hostile crown manfredo must have been scared for his life lol.... Kess walking into 75 thousand WELSH fans ....so if hes bringing and english flag in.........the only thing he's gonna get is more Boos...

I wernt happy with booing the anthem though mind you at the manfredo fight with all iraq and this America is hardly the best loved place in the world for brits at the moment so suppose it should have been expected really

What about Froch? Froch has yet to beat a top 40 fighter an could well be the most overrated fighter on the planet. He has almost zero defense and Kess or Calzaghe would demolish him. In fact i think any of the other top ten guys at 168 would beat him.

I think that is way to harsh, Froch ko'd Tatevosyan in two rounds the Russian has never been stopped and had taken the now world champion Lucian Bute the distance only a couple of months earlier.

Froch is world class and anyone who says otherwise doesnt know much about boxing to be prefeclty honest.
He also stopped Brian Magee with a broken hand, Froch is the only man to ever stop Magee. Magee was also robbed of the Europen crown a year or two earlier by Jeff Lacy victim Tsypko. Lets get it right Carl Froch is world class, i dont think there is no doubt about that. He is close to number one with each organisation and will get his shot very soon.

I wish you'd learn how to quote properly!

You post UNDER/AFTER the quote tags, not before/above

If Calzaghe is anywhere near the top of his game, then Kessler is in serious trouble.

Kessler is not British. Thats a sad stunt to rack up desperate support. He is going into the cauldron and he is gonna get seriously scolded.

Kessler is in the UK because of the fiscal sense. He will leave this fight a beaten but richer man.

Froch is world class but against the 2 main guys in the divison he will lose cause his defence is poor.He could be the hardest puncher in the divison tho so you have to give him at least a punchers chance against anyone.
