    Default Juan Valenzuela's comeback

Remember this guy? I totally forgot about him, I remember him beating Ricardo Williams and knocking out Julio Diaz, guy was kind of on a roll, then he messed up his retina and hasn't fought since 2004. I forgot that he was scheduled to fight Cotto when he hurt himself, that probably wouldn't have ended well.

Anyway he's coming back, I kinda liked the guy, opponent is TBA, November 2. I'm not sure if he can really make any kind of impact or not but its good to see him back.

I NEVER forgot this guy and would check DLH website for updates. I am SO glad he's coming back. I love underdogs. Remember Steve Robinson?

I hope he can keep up the momentum he had prior to his lay-off...

Naah, he's half a name now. He needs one or two wins then a 'title' shot of some kind.

I'm going to visit a friend who runs a casino in Biloxi over Xmas. I'll make sure we have one or 19 together when I;m there...

CC#717 on me OumaFan for talking about 'El Pollo' Valenzuela I've seen him fight live and on tv several times.
Not only did he beat Williams and blasted out Diaz but hes also beaten Fuller & Contreras both accountable opponents.
Yes, GBP did sign him but then he suffered the injury.
I've talked to Valenzuela a couple of times regular guy who enjoys a good laugh and jokes around a lot.
Good to hear hes back I know he wont be 100% after the injury but heres hoping it all goes well for him.

there's an article about him at Maxboxing.

Says he'll be coming back at 140.

Also says Margarito will be coming back against Golden Johnson on the Cotto-Mosley undercard.

Apparently fought to a draw against some guy Friday. Not the greatest start to a comeback.

I Read Juan was gassed late and his opponent was coming off of upset win against descent fighter Saul Ramon.....who just beat Kassim Ouma saturday night. was looking forward to his comeback.
