Thread: Chris Arreola - Future Heavyweight Champ?

So far he's come through every test asked of him and tomorrow night he fights another decent opponent in Thomas Hayes.

Has anyone seen him fight, and could he become the Mexican heavyweight hero?

I dont know lots about Chris, but from what i've heard he could win a belt. I mean any heavy with decent skill is a chance these days....

I wonder why Hayes has been fighting all bums since beating then 11-0 Chris Koval. Anyways, Arreola is immpressive but I dont like how his weight fluctuates so much. His last 4 fights have all been around 230 and he weighs 245 for this one. Id say maybe we are in for an upset but like I said Hayes has done nothing aside from one fight.

His weight is up 15 pounds? Maybe he has been getting some training from James Toney?

He has fought nothing but bums.
He wont get past someone like Samuel Peter.

With all the belts out there he doesn't have to beat Peter or Wladdy.

I think Arreola is a better prospect than Chazz Witherspoon, Malik Scott and some of the other youngsters

I dunno hispanic dudes in the fight game are generally hard.

Arreola and Witherspoon are both very good.....Chazz needs to develop a bit more but I think he'll be much better than say Domonick Guinn or Audley Harrison which means AT LEAST he's a title contender.

Arreola is a pressure fighter and he needs to jump at the chance to fight the smaller heavyweights





No one has a shot vs Wladimir right now.....up to and including Corrie Sanders

Throw him in with Tua and see what happens, its not like Tua's been scintillating lately.

I like Arreola, exciting fighter. Would like to see him go far, but I don't see him becoming unified champ anytime soon.
