    Peter-McCline is on!

Madison Square Garden is good to go for the WBC world title fight between interim champion Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter and three-time heavyweight title challenger Jameel McCline. Opportunity knocked for McCline after WBC titlist Oleg Maskaev injured his back in training last week. McCline, who had been preparing for a bout against Vitali Klitschko (slated for Sept. 22, but scraped due to a Klitschko injury), is ready, willing and able to make the most of his world title shot, which will be nationally televised.

Damn McCline gets a lot of shots, people must love the idea of fighting him.

At least Peter will get a chance to fight, and not have to just continue waiting. Peter TKO, McCline will be terrified.

Well according to Boxrec McCline is fighting DaVarryl Williamson in October 6th.

As for this fight its pretty much a joke of a fight when are we going to see the proper matches get made in Heavyweight division this is why i don't bother watching Heavyweight division no more because the fights that need to be made aren't getting made and the fans keep getting the worse fights possible can it get any worse ??

It probably will get worse, which is a shame. There are some decent matchups to be made, but not very many - nothing like the lighter divisions, which are seemingly overflowing with talent right now. It's getting pretty damn hard to make a top ten list of Heavys - cause there's only ten or so out there worth a damn!

McCline will probably blow out his knee again....Golota was supposed to fight McBride, but he's injured..so does he now get Williamson? This card is very confusing... I just hope McCall get's the winner if he pulls off the win against Gomez.

Ehh.. whatever. It's not as if this should be a big letdown for anyone... when Maskaev pulled out you had to expect it was either no opponent or somebody average for Peter.. Ruiz or Golota are no more worthy of the shot than McCline, and wouldn't fair any better imo.. Actually I would see Ruiz giving Peter more trouble but only with his gay mauling shit which nobody should want to see anyways.

I want Wladimir Klitschko-Corrie Sanders II right now!!!! If no other fights can be made with title holders then this fight is a MUST!

Sanders is like 40+ wouldn't do much for Wlad's career but Sanders is still dangerous and he does have Wlad's number imo so i would avoid Sander's at all cost because even though Sander's is old he is still dangerous and its losing situation for Wlad if he wins well he beat an old man if he loses he lost to Sander's twice but not only that he would be losing to an old man and that would be the end of Wlad's career.

The fight i want to see the most in Heavyweight division is Peter vs Wladimir 2.

That really is the only truly significant fight at HW right now. Wlad probably wins the rematch, but Peter's got enough stuff to make it interesting, just like last time.
