How many times do 2 undifeated HWs who have both got legitimate claims to be world champion fight?

Answer=only once and that was there first fight.

I'd agree that in my time it was the first Ali/ Frazier Fight. Being just eight years old I was just too young to experience the magnitude of the event. History tells me it had to be the best fight there since the "new Arena opened in the late sixtie's

However, The best NIGHT I personally ever experienced at the Garden was the night of Roberto Duran vs Davey More. Elecrtic and Magical. Duran was like Hulk Hogan when he fought at the Garden. The fans just adored him and loved his every move. I was one of them.

I recently see John Duddy vs Yori Boy Campas again and i still think Yori Boy Campas won. But regardless it was a great fight, i just felt Yori Boy Campas got a bit cheated in that one two of the scorecards were ridiculous. It certainly wasn't a robbery it was a close fight but i felt Yori Boy Campas won it by 2 rounds atleast, speaking of John Duddy he hasn't made much noise lately.

The first Ali-Frazier fight put boxing on the map like no other fight in the history of boxing. There's no way any fight can be bigger than that.

Ali-Fraizer was a big fight, but not hte biggest fight ever, Dempsey and Louis also had fights that captured the hearts of Americans and people world wide maybe even to a greater degree than Ali ever did.

Robinson had plenty of big fights at MSG.

Louis vs. Schmeling was USA vs. Germany, I personaly think that is the biggest matchup in boxing history. Not only did it pin 2 fighters but it also pinned 2 entire countries against eachother.

With the advent of televised sports, Ali-Frazier did more to put boxing in the mainstream of sports than any Louis or Dempsey fight. Ali-Frazier did for boxing what the 1958 Colts-Giants NFL championship game did for American football. 'Nough said.

You make a very good point, CMM. And I would personally put that fight in 2nd after Ali-Frazier for the reasons I just posted a minute ago. But yeah... Louis-Schmeling was enormous.
