I watched the fight. Kameda was extremely dirty. Dad and Koki Kameda siad after one of the rounds- you know you cant win so hit him in the balls and use your elbows! arseholes.

Naito is on a nice roll. He's a very underrated fighter. I'll take him over Nonito.

Yeah 100% true. My gf is Japanese and she told me what they said when the camera was in the corner between rounds. The clip is all over youtube. The dad and Daiki might be getting a suspension.

    Oh dear...

cpcompany is correct. Daiki and his trainer, his dad, are in a bit of trouble now. This was a big fight here in Japan, although not as big as any of his brother Koki's previous title fights. Lots were watching and lots were disappointed by Daiki's antics. Throughout the fight he was at worst dirty and at best less than sporting. Naito's was ahead the whole way but eventually got frustrated and hit Daiki when they both fell down and the ref (Vic Drakulich) deducted a point from Naito. It had to be an impossibly difficult one to ref, btw.

It was a WBC fight so we knew the scores and Daiki was way behind. In the final round, Daiki picked up Naito and slammed him to the ground, was eventually docked 3 (!) points in the 12th alone and didn't stick around for the decision or interviews. It was ugly.

And now the Japan Boxing Commission, who have always taken a quietly dim view of the Kameda family antics, are about to speak up. Koki's fight later this month has been cancelled and the JBC are having a special meeting on Monday to decide what to to about reprimanding Daiki and possibly the father. You folks in the US should know by Monday morning your time.

Too bad, because he shows some promise, IMHO.
