Ok looking for some info/experience on two things.

1.) I hurt my thumb a couple times on hooks, so ive been throwing them less frequently and when i do i turn the thumb up, its slower but it saves it from getting clipped on the palm down version.

Anyways, do u guys know of any special ways to tape the thumb or protect it from further damage?


2.) when i take a good hit, usually it has to be a hook, it makes my vision get a neon green tint for a second or two sometimes. Most the time im not even rocked, i just see these colors and its just barely blurry. Anyone else get this? does it mean something is wrong wiht my eye ?

Well if you're seeing stars EVERYTIME you get punched in the head, maybe you should look into it. But if hes landing clean shots to your temples its pretty normal i guess. When i take a clean blow to the temple it always disrupts your vision for a bit.

See an optician man, its most likely a visual problem and you may have done damage.
Over here and optical examination only costs €25, better safe than sorry.

Now that I think about it, it does seem to happen when its a temple shot. though not every temple shot does it.

What are catching your thumb on exactly?
Are you a bit loose in the hand on impact maybe or looping the hook after a moving target or is he moving in and you've caught the back of his head ? OR is he out of range slightly to far and your over extend after putting your self out of line or aim turning the hook into something else? Moving bodily out to the side while hooking long can do that.
