    Default Vic Darchinyan is back........................

The force of destruction known as Vic Darchinyan crushed some guy called Frederic Catubay, knocking him down 3 times en route to stopping him in the 12th round.

I look forward to seeing Dachinyan step up and get beaten again

Mate from what ive heard, it wasnt that impressive. Darchinyan was rocked a couple of times. Coming from a guy who has tried to be supportive of vic, but he needs to drop the fuckin attitude and find another trainer. Nothin is bad about his trainer, but he needs to find a strict trainer whos gonna make him leave his right hand closer to his chin. One that will teach him the art of boxing and not koing.

Vic is pretty one dimensional for a holder of one of leser world titles ,I think he'll either get out manouvered and frustrated if he gets to fight either holder of the bigger belts. He has a certain go till you die attitude that might break some of those guys down but he should be called wounded bull instead of raging bull with that style that opens up his one already tested weak point in his right temple. For style he looks very much like a crab with one claw broke.

Was a good enough fight to watch plenty of hard action ,the Phillpino was a game man and gave it his all in every round, Vic stayed measured, but was hitting hard with crisp responses .In the last few rounds Vic went all out against the tiring but still game Catabay, but still couldnt stop him convincingly in his tracks with that one sided style. (it was stopped and should of been, but the guy was worn down through his own head first gameness as much as Vics punishment)

The undercards were fun to watch 1st and second round ko's all over the place in a rough and tumble typical Aussie friday nights fight night ,not the class you'd expect on a world title bout!

On that performance you won't have to wait very long, Vic was nearly knocked out in the 6th round and it took him the full 12 rounds to deal with this guy. Vic will not beat the elite at Super Fly or Bantam!

sounds like vic suffered more than a nonito left hook.

could be another fighter having a hard time recovering from devestation of ego, that my friends when once lost can never be gain again.

In case you didn't noticed Darchinyan won the fight. How was he not able to recover? I ain't no Vic fan. But how about giving his opponent a little credit for being game. As oppose of making foolish statements.

are insult the best you can do? vic did win the fight but i'm not impress, i thought he'll live up to his raging bull name but not really. I just think he may have become less of his former self since his knock out lost, its not rare for that to happen to fighters don't you know.

VD, you are absolutely right! Catubay was as game and tough as they come, for a fighter with a 20-13-3 record he sure gave Vic all he could handle and nearly caused the upset in the 6th.

I just saw the fight a couple of hours ago. And no doubt Catubay was game. He deserves his credit.

I nearly threw up my breakfast!!! Just reading Vic's comments in the morning paper about his fight with Cantubay. He says it was a lucky punch in the 6th round that caught him if it wasn't for the ropes he would have been in conversation with the commentators at ringside! Vic has no defense at all !!!
He wants to fight on the undercard of Tarver v Green on December 1, Donaire is fighting that night as well.
