Griffith vs. Paret III - I have the fight but I've never seen it. I have some pictures great quality pictures of that fateful aftermath. The picture are from a Sport Illustrated book.

    Tua vs. Ruiz

Whitaker vs. Hurtado - I bet Mercante Jr. wishes he could have that one back, cause I know he sure as hell would have jumped in sooner.

Lol I watched a good hour and a halfs worth of ko's just this morning and its the strangest feeling to know every detail of all the knockouts you speak of :P

And Mick! You phrase the whittaker situation just as lampley did..

Lol!!! Watching the replay.."Ok so he could have stopped it there...Or there..there would have been nice.. or there.. or there.." I bet he would take a couple back if he could !!Lol

But fair play pernell was behind and considering he was never considered a power player he did well to get that stopage..Constant wound up overhand rights Lol

Mike Tyson vs Marvis Frazier I think is another good example... Tyson took him to the corner and pretty much teed off for a good 8 seconds or so...
Down Goes Frazier!!! Down Goes Frazier!!! Down Goes Frazier!!!

Spot on Magic Man, I like the Lampley quote... "Or there.... There would have been nice... or there.... or there...."
Mercante watches Pernell throw Hurtado against the ropes and then Pernell lands some sick shots and Mercanter still walks all the way around them as Pernell lands more free shots.

Good one Mr. Cosell... Poor Marvis was in there pretty much as a punching bag.

The Whittaker-Hurtado one does come to mind, I remember somebody on HBO, maybe Lamps, talking about how when you could literally wind up with your left hand over and over again then the other guy's probably not in good shape.

There's been a lot of them though, this thread made me remember this fight with Carlos Quintana on ESPN 2 before Cotto, I think it was at the Playboy mansion, can't remember who it was against but just remember thinking hell man what is this referee waiting on. Can't remember who he was fighting though.

Quintana was fighting Frankie Campos I think was his name... I know for sure his last name was Campos.

I think it was Francisco Campos, if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing wrong with the refs. they were good ko's. you wont hear any of the beaten boxers screaming that they could have gone on.

the mercer ko is the most ridiculous. You can't really see the insanity of it until you see it in slow motion.

The crazy thing about the ref in the Ruddock-Dokes fight... not only did he not stop the fight right away, but once Dokes actually collapsed to the canvas, the ref actually STARTS COUNTING TO TEN!, as if he thought Dokes could actually get up. LMAO.
