Its on Dan Rafael's notebook at ESPN, it says he wants to move up and fight Sultan Ibragimov. Not sure if that's realistic.
He still might be the best cruiser, kind of a flaky guy though. Not sure how he'd do at heavy.

Calling out the weakest link of the alphabet boys is NEVER a serious career move.

Not sure Sultan's the weakest, but he is the smallest; which makes sense for Bell. Maybe he's thinking of just trying to go up, grab a belt and then decide whether to stay or move back down?
He certainly has the power and the heart... Problem is, he is seemingly always distracted and unfocused, Hell of a talent though
I'll take Bell over Ibragimov
He might as well move up; not like he's moving into dangerous waters or anything. Taking a page out of Holyfields book I suppose.
If he can get the fight it will probably be his biggest payday. If he can stay focused I could even see him winning it. It makes some sense to give it a shot as there is far more money and recognition to be had as a heavy than a cruiser. If he loses it won't hurt him that much and he can move back down. I'd be pretty interested in this fight.
I don't really follow the cruisers...but I have seen Bell several times...& was not that impressed.
Is anyone really that impressed with the guy...or am I just the only one that is not?
I sure as shit don't buy into him being a heavyweight contender...even against Ibrag.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
Bell has shown alot of praise in the past for Holyfield and vice versa but this will not end well for him imo.
Bell is an oddity with bricks in his gloves,a sub-par defense but Stubborn tuff as hell.
He seems a bit "touched" upstairs but is one of the most dangerous fighters ,Punch for Punch out there who on any giving night can hurt ANYONE .Maybe hes trying to make mega-bucks before he gets out of boxing but I think He gets in bad trouble at heavy, even vs.Ibragimov Etc.
I remember he was supposed to fight some time back on FNF, and instead they had to put in some replacement instead of him and drag that fight to the undercard. Apparently he was pulled off the card because noone in his camp knew where he was a week before the fight... That's certainly not a good sign for his future period. I suspect he also may want to move up simply to avoid having to make weight.. Either way, bad signs.
Personally I think it might be the right move for him, if he doesn't think he'd be able to mix it with the generation of cruisers we have at the moment. Maccarinelli, Cunningham, Wlodarczyk, Mormeck, Haye, Adamek, Huck. To me it looks like the Cruiserweight is more competitive than the Cruisers at the minute, and if Bell doesn't fancy doing all the weight stripping to make the weight too, then heavies is the easiest place to make the buck.
And Jimboogie....fantastic sig you're packing there son!
they both are in the same promption group which can make harder for it to happen
i think he can be effected but i can see b-hop fighting sultan rather bell is so ...out there cant explain it
Did you see his FNF with Dale Brown? I've had a hard time taking him seriously since that. He received a total boxing lesson before taking his gift decision.Originally Posted by wacko3205
I think Ibragimov would do the same to him, only he has enough power to take him out if he goes for it. I can only see a punchers chance for Bell in this one.
