Goossen wants this fight if Andre wins his next fight. That sure is alot of faith in Ward, thoughts?

That would seem a bit risky considering Ward has not shown the best chin and it would be a huge step up. Since he's fighting at SMW now, I would think it would make sense for him to fight one of "The Condender" losers...maybe McCrary, Wayne Johnson, or Max Alexander. Those are decent opponent level guys would he would probably take, but they could push him more than he has been pushed. Even all the guys left on show - Jaidon, Sam, and Bika, would probably be a bit much for Ward at this point. I think he's at least 2 or 3 fights away from being ready for Miranda.Originally Posted by El Gamo
I think that it's a bit premature; hasn't he only been fighting 8 rounders so far, against low level comp I think his next fight is his 1st 12 rounder. If he's going to fight Miranda he at least needs to fight some other guys in 12 rounders before he tests the waters with Miranda, and he probably wouldn't even get to the 12th with Edison. JMO
if this happen miranda will fight him with extra passion on cause ward won a olmpic medal
This would not be good for Ward....IMO

Yes, he really does.
This would be a good fight.
Miranda is no world beater and it's only a matter of time before Ward is champion. He's one of the more gifted fighters in all of boxing and a knockdown from a temple shot in like his 4th pro fight is the basis behind everyone being down on him.
He can handle pressure very well. It'll definitely be a test but it's something he needs and I think he would do a number.
nice to see american public have taken to him as well as the british have taken to amir.Originally Posted by amat

Seems like a pretty dramatic step up in class for Ward. I think he needs to face 1 or 2 more crafty veteran trial horses before he steps up to fight a dangerous guy like Miranda.
Bad match making for Ward. Surely there is an easier way to a title.

Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
Yes, it's important to be challenged and step up, but I agree with most here that this seems to be too big of a step up for Ward. Miranda, is the kind of puncher that could ruin a young fighter.
Miranda seems so tough to me, that I really doubt he's damaged goods. He seems more the type that would be eager to get back in and prove a point.
Still, I would say Ward has a decent chance, it's just risky. Nothing risked nothing gained, but in this game, maybe more than any other, it's important to manage the risks intelligently.
Yeah Miranda seems a very durable, mentally resilient guy. I doubt he's damaged goods; he did take a bad beating from Pav, but I saw no quit in him, frustration maybe, but no quit for sure. This isn't the time to get in with Miranda. I'm very excited to see "Pantera" back in action!!Originally Posted by Myk_Myk
Yeah i hope he doesn't take Roger Cantrell lightly!!
From what i've seen and heard about this guy he's pretty decsent and with a 12-0 (8 ko's) record he also doesn't know what it feels like to loose.
A fight against Miranda might be too soon.
