    Default Mosley don't want Cintron/Williams

If he beats Cotto he has stated its Mayweather or retirement!! very nice...

I think win lose or draw Hatton will be fighting Oscar next at Millenium Stadium. So that leaves Mayweather without a dance partner.

I can not blame him. After the career he has had fighting Kermit Cintron or Paul Williams would be a step down at this point in time. Williams and Cintron are both very good fighters it is just Mosley would add nothing to his resume by beating either one, both of those fighters are still searching elite status.

Agreed; what's the point? If he fought anyone other than Floyd I'd rather it be Margarito in that division.

A PBF fight definitely makes sense. More money, adds more to legacy, what more could he want. If he does beat Cotto and Floyd beats Hatton, what a match up!!!!!

Mosley has been after a fight with Mayweather for ages. Imop Mosley is the best fighter out there to give Mayweather fits (apart from Hatton), his hand speed, power and chin will give The Pretty boy the fight of his life. Im a massive Hatton fan and as Ive said before I would have prefured to have seen Mosley fight Mayweather and Hatton fight Cotto. Sugar Shane has maybe 1 big fight left in him after Cotto and I think if he cant get the fight with Mayweather then he may retire.

Can understand why he woulden't want to fight Cintron or Williams. That's a step down and he would beat ethier comfortably. I don't however see a Mayweather match being made if he beat's Cotto. I hope for boxing's sake that Cotto wins but it's too tough to call.

Mosely may have his hands full with Cotto, so i'm not sure why he's looking so far ahead at this point in time.
Additionally, i feel Mosely needs a couple more wins at welter to cement a great legacy

It show that Moseley will retire soon as he has not much motivation left to stay in the hard sport of boxing. Fighting Cintron/williams is not going to motivate him and he has everything to loose. If Moseley wins Mayweather will not fight him because he is a bitch.

You make an excellent point. To add to that, Mosley is looking for that one big payday and only Mayweather will get that for him. Thus, it is very important that Shane defeats Cotto and I am sure the possible payday with Floyd is giving him all the motivation he needs to do so. However, if Shane loses to Cotto, he can still make some money by fighting Cintron or Williams. And not only that, those fighters, in my opinion, defeat Shane if he ever got in the ring with them. Remember, they are both tall and strong, two qualities that Shane has problems with (see Forest and Winky Wright fights).

Your point is good as well. If he does lose to Cotto and it is possible a fight with Cintron or Williams would stil be there if he wanted it. I disagree about Cintron being a real problem for him, I do think Williams would be the bigger problem due to the height and reach like you stated he has had trouble with in the past. On the other hand Williams who throws a lot of punches may not adjust if Shane sets the pace? It is one of those we have to see situations, most of it in my opinion would depend on Shanes desire to win one more belt?

Body Puncher, it's just that Cintron is taller, stronger, and is now working with Manny Steward and using that reach and power advantage moreso than he did in the past that I think he would pose serious problems for Shane. Shane was supposed to fight Cintron early this year, if you remember, but because of contractual problems, the fight fell through and in stepped Collazo.

I agree Cintron has vastly improved since Steward, almost like a whole new guy. We also forget at times since it has been so long he was there but Shane is really a natural lightweight. He always has been undersized for the 147 and 154 weight classes

Shane needs to massive fights to motivate him at this stage in his career. Mayweather is a massive fight,a fight with either of these 2 is not. SSM needs to stop thinking about Maywether too much and focus on fighting Cotto.

I don't blame Mosley at all for not wanting Cintron/Williams, because at this age Mosley should only want big money fights.

But this is why I want Cotto to win. If Mosley wins, he'll only fight a couple more times at most and then retire. Whereas if Cotto wins, he could be a star for years to come and produce lots of great fights.

Frankly, if Williams beat Cintron, I don't think anyone at 147 is going to want to fight him. Floyd's not going to want to fight someone who's that much taller and has that big a reach advantage. That's a dangerous fight for Cotto too.

I think Williams is going to have to make his money and win his titles at 154 or above.

I just hope that the powers that be get together to unify the belts at 147. For example, the winner of Cotto-Mosley should fight the winner of Floyd-Hatton. The winner of those two should fight the winner of Williams and Cintron. Four great welterweight fights back to back to back to back. The best part of this is that a loss wouldn't necessarily hurt anyone. The losers would make compelling fights that I am sure viewers would want to see.
