I hope so, but that's saying a lot 2007 has been a hell of a year, and still has some Mega-Fights left.
2008 may be better as far as Heavyweights go, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get some clarity
and unification going on for the big men. But all you have to do is look at the FOTY threads on here to
see how many great fights there have been.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

cc in 24 Wacko i think 2007 has been excellent year for boxing but i think its only a teaser for even bigger things to come in 2008.

Kessler would easily beat Bika, id prefer Kessler Bute that would be a much better fight.

Agreed but Bika has just won the Contender so i think Kessler will go after Bika for the exposure then take on Bute.

I agree that Bika will probably be the natural choice for a tuner...& if it was alright for Joe & Jeff to take Manfredo...why not Bika for Mikkel?

Williams-Cintron could be interesting. Would rather see Chad Dawson go ahead and fight that Adrian Diaconu guy that he was supposed to fight instead of Jones. The problem with Jones-Trinidad is that Jones will probably look good and it will get him a big fight with somebody he probably shouldn't be fighting. Maybe he's got more left than I think but I doubt it.

While I'd love to see it, Cotto-Hatton seems a bit unlikely to me. If they both win, one of them (most likely Hatton) will get the mega-dollar fight with De La Hoya. If they both lose, they will most likely look elsewhere to reestablish themselves. Hatton would probably go back to 140 or might even retire. If one loses and the other wins, then the winner is going to probably look elsewhere for big fight. Would love to see it happen, though.

Agreed, 2008 the stars are going to align for boxing again. I would love to see Miranda/Andrade, Kessler/Miranda, Katsidis/Juan Diaz, Pavlik/Andrade if Pav makes the ove up. Cotto/Hatton would be a wicked fight, someone would be going to the canvas. Mosley/Mayweather. Miranda/Taylor would be intriguing. Also hoping Margarito does his thing Saturday and next year gets Cotto or Cintron again. Lots more could happen; which makes me wonder already what 2009 could turn into.

Sorry Ice, but I'm with Taeth in that it is going to take so many big fights to beat what we've been offered in 2007. For me, I'm going to have to look at what is happening domestically as well as internationally, and I really think that 2007 has delivered on all levels.
If it does beat 2007 however, I'll CC for the whole of 2009 just for predicting it.
