    Default Hatton can win

Even though I think that Floyd is the best fighter in the world, and he has a better jab, has better defensive skills and has incredible combinations, something tells me that Ricky can win this fight. His footwork is greatly underestimated, and could be the key to the fight. He is also deceptively quick, and he can throw combinations almost as speedy as Floyd. The closer we get to fight night, the more I give Ricky a chance, although I still think Mayweather will win.

If Mayweather gets DQ'ed Hatton wins. That's Hatton best chance of getting a win

I may be misreading your post:

You are saying that Hatton's footwork may be the key to the fight. But doesn't Mayweather have the best footwork and footspeed in the sport?

One minor disagreement, though: I think that Mayweather's handspeed /combos are substantially faster than Hatton's.

Hatton will have an advantage in size. He needs to find a way to impose that. But my prediction is that he won't have a functional strength advantage because Mayweather has been in the ring with much bigger men.

I think some people are dismissing Ricky too lightly. Violet surprise - do you really think Hatton's best chance is a DQ? I believe if Hatton wins it will be clean. Perhaps you are making excuses for Floyd already? All I know is that Hatton seems to be in good shape, and will give everything he has got. If he can rough him up on the inside, that will help him to break Floyd's rhythym and to get his most significant shots off. Again, I think Floyd will win, but Ricky can never be discounted.

Dios - I think that Ricky's footwork could be the key to the fight because I don't think that Floyd has fought anyone who moves in quite the same way as Ricky does. I think he will cause Floyd all sorts of problems, ones that he may have to figure out in the ring. Whatever happens, I get the feeling that both fighters will know they have been in a fight, and both will emerge with credit.

I want to go on record again saying this.... I honestly believe this fight is going to be a lotttt more confrontational than everyone is hinting.... Yes Floyd has great footwork and speed and avoids confrontation... The fights where that is very prominent though are fights against people who's tactics are a little iffy courtesy of Floyd mastery, and they are fighting behind the jab and trying to out'box' Floyd..... If you look at Floyds fights against fighters who have done that, yes, he totally dominates and makes them look like amateurs... Ricky is not going to fight like that unless his game is completely completely put off...

When Floyd fights fighters who have a similar style to Ricky of continuely coming forward and attempting continously to engage Floyd a from the inside, the fights involve a LOT more traded punches.. Floyd has said he's not afraid to go toe to toe, and against fighters like Ricky, he engages a LOT more. Certainly a LOT more than the fights that people think of when refering to Floyd dancing around the ring dominating Ricky and making him look a fool. Castillo is probably the best example of this... You have to take into account Floyds opponents in those fights where he completely dominates, and observe the style their fighting,,, and realise it's as far as possible from the style you would expect Ricky to use...

Again my whole point here is, I beleive this fight is going to be a lot more confrontational than anyone has been saying.
