Default Frank Warren on B-Hop/Joe, Skelton, Arthur with digs at Haye & Hatton

"I've been speaking to former middleweight world champion and light-heavyweight number one Bernard Hopkins, and I'm confident I can get that fight for the Welshman.
There's been talk that Golden Boy, Hopkins' promoters, offered Calzaghe a career-high purse to fight "The Executioner" in the States.

But I can reveal that the money on the table was not as much as Joe took home for toppling Kessler.

I’m more than happy to pay Hopkins the same to come to the UK.

I've also been in contact with Bob Arum about Calzaghe fighting big-punching Kelly Pavlik, a fight I really fancy for Joe.

And Clinton Woods, the current IBF light-heavyweight champion, is also in the mix.
Yet Calzaghe isn't the only fighter I promote who can expect good news soon."

Now that is just shocking! How can you insult Frank? The man is the definition of truth and honesty. He gives value for money, gives his fighters the best fights for their career and doesn't ever think about what is in it for him. A selfless man.

Also, he's produced 3 FOTY contenders this year alone. Calzaghe-Manfredo, Maccarinelli-Gunn and Skelton-Sprott. Give the man some credit.

"Good to see Calzaghe getting recognition for the Kessler win in the States, where he is now seen as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. ESPN have him at number two. Calzaghe is well ahead of British rival Ricky Hatton who fight number 1 Floyd Mayweather."

    Hmmmm...Nothing biased there then!

Hopkins aint crossing the pond...no way...no how.

We'll probably see Jones Hopkins II or Tito Hopkins II.

I see an article where if Calzaghe can't fight Hopkins he will for certain fight Pavlik assuming Pavlik beats Taylor.

    He'd struggle against Pavlik

I think Joe is too fast. Pavlik had real difficult in the first few rounds dealing with Taylor's speed. Pavlik needs to stay at middle and establish his status first.

Calzaghe does get caught with straight right hands and Pavlik has very good straight right hand it would be interesting.

I think he meant in the p4p rankings and he's actually right in that regard. Most writers, magazines etc rank Calzaghe as a top 3 p4p in the world now whereas Ricky is usually around 8 or 9.

Hardly "well ahead" though is it? Ricky is one win away from leap frogging him.

Well given the ferocity of arguments that often develop on this site because one poster has someone a single place higher or lower than someone else who thinks his view is completely and wildly innacurate I'd say a difference of 4 or 5 places is pretty high
