Good, but certainly not devastating? He wobbled Tito a number of times. However I feel that this is not as a result of Tito's lack of durability but moreso a result of his limited defense.

The same limited defense which would be exploited by the 6'2'' Tommy Hearns who would find Tito's skull with that Right cross. The right cross that felled Duran, Cuevas and countless others. It is irrelevant that Tito had a decent to good chin. It is an inevitable scientific equation. The human skull suffers the impact of a punch of that force enough times and the brain willorder the body into recovery mode. KO.

Tito's fall went to test waters out of his league(160) and even so he did pretty good.

Tommy is one of the great but at WW so was TITO.

Tommy was not just any welterweight...his power at WW was damn freightning...not 147lb man should be able to hit that hard....his speed was also way above the average welterweights....plus even though he is known for power Tommy was a master boxer....I just don't see Tito beating him....

And if there is one thing that we can all agree on is that Tito had much better stamina than Hearns, which means the further it went, the more likely Tito would win.

As I say about any fighter. If you plan on beating Tito. You better bring your A game and you better stick to it for as long as the fight lasts. One slip up and he will make you pay.

That's all I'm trying to say but this guys used the correct words

They both had great power at WW...but Hearns has to be p4p one of the greatest punchers in the history of the sport. As far as all around skill...Tommy was a much better boxer. He had a tremendous jab. His problem was that he could easily be lulled into a brawl and abandon using his great all around skill. Both of them had iffy chins...but i just have a hard time betting against Hearns at Welterweight.

I think with Tito going down frequently in his fights. I would see a quick K.O. for Hearns. Withing 3 rounds.Anothe rgood question would be if Oscar fought Hearns I believe Oscar would probably stop him late like Ray Leonard did.

I think the comment's are fair bro, Tito was down a lot in the early rounds, and if Hearns put him on the canvas he wouldn't get up. I respect Tito he is great fighter and took a hell of a beating against Hopkins while being way above his weight class. But imo Hearns is a little too much for Tito but thats nothing to be ashamed of because Hearns is too much for most Welterweights.

Tito as well was too much for most Welterweights with mad power too. So you see at this time both fighters had their legacy at 147 and is written in the history books as the baddest MOFOS of the WW.

So for me it would have been a classic fight without rating any of them low. It's a shame how people forgets TITO's legacy at 147 just because he got outclassed by no other than B-Hop at 160.

Hearns and "tito" weren't in the same league. And from what I can see you agree.

I'd rather watch tito - Benitez. Watch tito hit air all night long.

You then continue by judging potential boxing contests by using countries of origin as a measure of a fighter's worth...

First I am gonna say Hearns, Rd4. Not much different with a few other guys. Tito, out of his range, was not effective (like the way DLH worked him over).
Hearns was so dangerous inside the first 5 rounds, if you couldn't counter and stop him from getting off 100+ knockout intended punches a round... You weren't surviving. And Tito didn't really beat anyone who was a more natural heavier opponents (eg. Hopkins). Let's not forget Hearns went all the way up to Cruiserweight.
