Thread: Who had best fights Hagler or Hearns

I am planning to get a collection of fights for my dad for Christams cant decide which collection to get Hagler or hearns who was involved in the better fights..I think the 2 boxsets of each fighter contains 20 of each boxers best fights.

I'd buy Hearns I think he was more exciting as far as style and KO's and the way his fights went.
If you want to see a tactician who imposes himself on you and just mauls his opponents to sumbmission then you'd like Haglers career.

It should be noted Hearns was in a FOTY & UOTY.

ye go for hearns ive got his career set, and it doesnt disapoint, lots of excitement and great KOs.

Cheers for advice will get the hearns one was thinking also of getting Barrera career set as my dad likes him,i understand his fights is not the most exciting but I am sure he is good to watch.I only have the Barrere Morales trilogy which the first was a classic...

Hearns. His freakish physique allowed him to obliterate smaller opponents. check out his stoppage sof duran and cuevas. his chin made things intersting too, leonard I & II and Hagler himself...among the most dramatic fights ever.

Hagler was more methodological and even a savvy boxer in his earlier years. Hearns had the dramatic combonation of one-punch KO power and one punch being KO'd chin.

Its just about wot kinda fighter you prefer , if you like the reliable rock chined beast in marvin , or the beautiful boxing skills - KO power and vulnarability of Tommy , think is is hard to say who had better fights , but Tommy is my fav of all so would have to go for him
