Default I think Hatton Vs Mayweather is way bigger than Oscar Vs Mayweather!

Everyone is saying Oooooh Hatton looks scared, Ooooh Mayweather looks rattled. I think were in for one helluva fight, I'm still going with Mayweather by Late Tko on cuts, But Hatton look phenomenal. Anyways this blows Oscar/Mayweather to shat.

Agreed. DLH: Mayweather failed to ignite me at any point.

Hatton: Mayweather has been something I have anticipated for 2 years now and actually thought it was a bout that had come to pass.

And here it is tomorrow!!! Can't wait!!

Delahoya would have given mayweather a good fight if he had any stamina. He tired out way to quick.

I think Dela Hoya only truly challenged Mayweather in 3 or 4 rounds... the rest of the time he was missing his shots, but if you look stylewise Dela Hoya applied the exact same pressure Castillo did which made them harder to hit, but they still applied distance pressure while not throwing as many punches until Mayweather was on the ropes. Hatton throws punches and uses body to body pressure and that will either make this a good fight or because he is open to getting hit(less so by hard punches) Hatton might get picked apart(which is unlikely) or he will wade through the punches and give Mayweather one hell of a fight(more likely)... I dont' see this being like Duran-Leonard as Oscar put it, but more like Frazier(with less power but more speed) vs Ali(with less of an offensive arsenal but better defensively)

I honestly don't expect a close fight. I think Ricky will look great for a few rounds but by round 8 it will be in the bag for Floyd. He won't stop Ricky but he'll beat him as easily as Joe Calzaghe beat Kessler imo.

You can't plod a guy like mayweather you have to do what glenn johnson did to rjj. Constant pressure all the time and run him down if he tries to run lateral.

Obviously thats not true just watch Castillo against him. You just have to hit more than you get hit or hit him harder. Oscar won a lot of rounds he shouldn't have by hitting harder, and looking more active. What Glen did to Roy was fight an amazing man past his time. Prime Roy or Roy at 30 would have demolished Glen. Floyd is even better than Roy on the ropes in that he is harder to hit and he counters effectively like Roy off the ropes, despite that I think this is where Hatton has to put the fight.

Hatton has never been stopped due to cuts. Therfore, I don't see the fight being stopped. Joe Cortez will let the fight go on as long as Hatton is willing to fight on. Hatton's corner will not throw in the towel and we all know that the doctors could care less and they will allow this fight to continue to the bitter end if that is the case.

Stopped on cuts? Get the hell outta here! You have seen how many of Ricky's 43 fights? And he has been stopped due to cuts how many times? Exactly.

I really don't think Ricky will be able to hit Floyd harder though.

Floyd was a big puncher before he moved up to welter weight. His last few fights have all been against bigger guys and in the case of Oscar and Baldomir much bigger guys.

It's entirely possible that Ricky's smaller frame will be easier for Floyd and his punches will carry much more weight than in his last few fights.

I know they say he wasn't prepared properly and that he hates southpaws but against Collazo Ricky just didn't look all that strong, especially in the later rounds.

It's all very well talking about pressuring Floyd but if he's weaker than Floyd he's just going to end up like Jesus Chavez, exhausted after 7 or 8 rounds with Floyd just beginning to get his second wind.

A lot is made about the first Castillo fight, but Floyd had a shoulder injury and it was his first time at lightweight. The rematch though Floyd won clearly so I don't think Castillo can be used as an example of hope for Hatton.
