Default Time to Worry..Does Ricky Hatton have a jab?!

Oscar De La Hoya said he only lost to Mayweather cos he stopped throwing the jab. He said Mayweather's weakness was he could deal with a decent jab.
A decent jab? I was thinking...
Does Ricky have a jab? I cant remember him throwing many.

    Opinions of Ricky's jab?

This signiture is up as ante in a 'sig-bet'. Wanna bet anyone?

I dont think the jab will be an issue, Floyd likes to be the counter puncher and does almost all his scoring with his right hand, be it straight leads or uppercuts while leaning back, if Ricky throws a jab, Floyd will be trying to counter over or under it.

All Ricky has to do is what he does best, be rough, get away with as much as he can, make Floyd uncomfortable, dont give him space or time to settle, make him fight like no one has before.

Floyd has fought alot of fighters who had a few losses each, they werent the raw dangerous hungry fighter that Hatton is, they let Floyd dictate the pace, they let him fight at his own pace because of the fear of getting countered, if Hatton keeps close and bullies Floyd then Floyd has nothing to counter and for once in his career will be made to fight.

I think Floyd has lived to long in the comfort zone fighting boxers he knew he had a big edge over, like fighting Mitchell at his first fight at welter (whereas Hatton moved up to beat a naturaly bigger belt holder who was also a southpaw), Mitchell was moving up a weight and coming off his destrution by Tszyu. He may not have what its needed in him now to deal with the non stop agression and bullying of Hatton.

Ricky will be the second naturaly big man that Floyd has faced, after Baldomir, all his recent victims have moved up in weights, Baldomir trundled round inefectivly, Hattons legs will be much stronger than even De La Hoyas add that to Ricks style and I see Floyd getting a shock when he feels Ricks strength.

Oscar is a complete TWAT does he really think if he had stepped up his tempo abit and thrown more jabs he would have won no way all that would have happened is Floyd would have stepped up another gear and took him to school. The thing was Oscar never really threatened Floyd so Floyd never needed that other gear he could just coast Oscar was meant to be the puncher but in my opinion it turned out to be Floyd who was the puncher. Also lets not Forget Floyd has the better jab between him and Ricky he has the reach and the height advantage aswell where in the fight with Oscar it was Oscar who had the reach and height advantage and he could'nt do the job so how can Ricky.

Hatton has no jab and incredibly short arms. It's a major part of the reason why I give him only a slim chance of winning.
