Default Ricky Hatton keen on PBF rematch........

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...972614,00.html

"I've got positives to take from the fight but ultimately I'm very, very disappointed - however like any good champion I will bounce back".

"My best attribute is that I am fearless. I think that it was working and up until the sixth-round stage, I think there wasn't a lot in it".

I am one of the biggest Hatton fans on here but what on earth is he thinking?? he had his chnace and lost so Ricky now neads to clean up light welter son and forget fighting at welterweight any more and forget about Mayweather.

For one Mayweather won't rematch him, as he ktfo Hatton. If Floyd rematches Hatton it will look like Floyd is all about money. He needs to fight Cotto or Williams.

Hatton doesn't want a rematch, as he'll get beat up again. I love Ricky but I think he hit his head too hard if he thinks he can stay at WW and challenge Floyd again, or any of the top WW's. He needs to stay at 140 and dominate there if he can, and be happy with that.

Totally agree LEGION and in a rematch I think Floyd will bust him up worse.

We Rick If you wanna rematch him I'm behind you, but I reckon you need a couple of fights under your belt before you start making too much noise again.

Rematching Mayweather again would end his career, don't be a fool Hatton get your ass back down to Jr Welterweight.

Floyd would win this fight again and I think would be over even quicker if a rematch were to happen cos Floyd has him figured out now...I belive Hatton can only fight one way where Floyd can box where it be defence or offence....Floyd would beat hatton no probs again i really belive he is a living legend maybe one of the best to ever step in a ring...If he goes on to win more big fights he will be up there with any of them....I watched the Hatton fight again and when watched it a second time it was even more clear that Mayweather was in a different league, you feel he could of steped it up a few more gears if he wanted...

I think from the third round on Mayweather could of took him out at anytime.

I agree. Rick needs to get a couple under his belt first. I cannot see a rematch happening unless Hatton is able to make a serious statement and to do that he needs to do some work.

Maybe Ricky will be a driven man now, but I dont know.

I certainly hope so! And it's not out of the question, but actions speak louder than words and certainly louder than my typed words on an internet forum!!!

Ricky could deffinitly have done a whole lot better, 2 things he would nneed to do, actualy get out the way of the right hand, one way would be to hold with his left instead of his right, taking away Floyds right hand and if Floyd did break out he would have to reset to throw it, also, actualy throw some shots when Floyd is against the ropes, take a step back and throw 3 or 4 then barge back in

If Ricky couldnt win 2 big fights impressive no one would be interested anyway and if he actualy did get a rematch then he would have to get his tactics spot on from the first bell or I agree it will only be a matter of a few rounds in the rematch

Rematches for a challlenger who are are beaten in the manner Hatton was don't happen do they ?? I certainly can't remember any in recent years.

I wasn't going to mention this but I was talking to a guy in the queue for the toilets on the plane on the way over (cue the jibes !) who was telling me who he worked for some Arabian company or other who had already tabled big money to back a rematch in the UK. He had free ringside seats for the fight.

I thought he was just some nutter (and maybe he was) but when Mayweather mentioned he'd love to fight in the UK in the post fight interview it got me wondering. And now this......

Of course it may all be nonsense but just thought I would share it with you . You never know

It's probably a safe bet that if someone calls themself "money" they're all about the money.

True - forgot about that one . Remember thinking at the time how ludicrous that was.

    Any others ??
