Default WHY IS IT THAT WHEN SOMEBODY COMMITS A FOUL THE OPPONENT GETS A 10-8 ROUND??

Hey guys..drunk as fuck but don't worry I aint gonna pretend I can't type or think straight. Maybe it wasn't a good enough night since I'm aware what is going on
Anyway why the fuck (man i need to stop swearing, my girl is busting my balls about it as it is) is it that TV judges almost always seem to give a 10-8 round to the opponent of a fighter that commits a foul resulting in a point deduction??
Is it like an automatic rule that the person who commited the foul can't win the round?
Surely if the fighter is winning the round convincingly and commits a foul it should be deemed a 9-9 round?
    I'm confused..somebody enlighten me! Thanks

    You got it right.

Usually the fouler is behind in the round and fouls becuase of frustration where by the foulee is the reciever and is usually already ahead so it seems like it always occurs although I dont think it is always a 10/8.

Hope this helps during your hangover.

See, I thought this..I thought maybe it's always the guy who is struggling who commits the foul. Can't always be the case though surely. Just that i've never seen a 9-9 round!
    Thanks though..my hangover starts now!
Oh by the way Larry Olubamino for next Super Heavyweight Amateur Novice Champion! Straight out of Repton (same club i'm at)! He has his final tomorrow at York Hall..wish him luck!!

It should never be a 9-9 round unless the guy who commited the foul knock the guy down... There has to be a big price for a fighter straying from the rules.

Really? Even if he gets his arse beat for the rest of the round? Doesn't make sense to me..the punishment has already been given in the form of a point deduction surely?

Oh well ,I thought using the words fouler and foulee in a sentence of babble may have had you thinking too much spinning out and throwing up? Howd that hangover go?

It doesn't ALWAYS end up like that. But like you say the person fouling usually is behind...Most recent example i can think of for what your thinking is Calzaghe -Lacy..Calzaghe was just throwing combos and then gave Jeff a lil back hander...resulted in a point deduction but scored a level round 9-9.
