Thread: Floyd is already making excuses as to why he wont fight Miguel Cotto.

Default Floyd is already making excuses as to why he wont fight Miguel Cotto.

Mayweather says he is not interested in a potential fight with
    Miguel Cotto.

The older Floyd gets, the less reflexes he will have. Which means Cotto
Will hurt Floyd more in the future. Why wait? Scared?

    Here are his excuses:
Mayweather doesn't feel the fight makes any financial sense.

Everyone wants to see this fight. Everyone knows who Miguel Cotto is.
Are you telling me people will not pay to see this fight? Get the phuk outta
    here!

"I'm not going to disrespect Miguel Cotto. He's one of us; he's part of the family,
the HBO family," Mayweather said. "As a businessman, I'm not going to put him down.

And yet Floyd has disrespected everyone in the past including fighters who have
    paved the way before him.

Oscar is also part of the HBO family and Floyd is still rumored to wanting to fight
    him. Interesting.

BTW Nice @ss kissing by Floyd. He has been kissing Cotto's @ss since Cotto beat Mosley.
Funny thing is Floyd said Mosley would knock Cotto the phuk out and early.

No one at 147 pounds wets my appetite, says Mayweather.

[b]Floyd Gave up his Junior Middle Weight Title @154 which was an
early Christmas present from Oscar and HBO in order to keep his
Welter weight title and yet no one wets his appetite? And so he fights
a junior welter weight in Ricky Hatton? What the phuk is really going
    on?

As I've said before, what's going on here is simple... Floyd is playing hard to get. He's not a fool when it comes to business. He knows the longer he drags it out, the longer he makes it seem like he doesn't want the fight, the more money he'll get in the end.

Floyd knows he's not going to make any decisions for at least the next 6-8 weeks, at the absolute minimum. If he spends that time saying, "I want Cotto" he's lowering his price. On the other hand, if he keeps acting like he wants no part of it, he's driving up the price.

If 2008 comes and goes and Mayweather and Cotto don't fight, then everyone should feel free to criticize whoever it was that stood in the way of the fight happening. Floyd would be fair game if he won't step up and fight Cotto. But now isn't the time. We have to let things play out.

I guess you forget that history repeats it self.

Example: People were dying to see Floyd vs Margarito. PBF ducked Tony and left him hanging. Not only did he leave Tony hanging, he also left the fans hanging. He told Margarito that he would fight him and he never did.
Cotto is a much better position than Tony was and look at what Floyd is saying.
I don't see Floyd ever getting in the ring with Miguel Cotto. He is afraid and his @ss kissing, which is something I have never heard him do, pretty much leads me to strongly believe what I believe about Floyd. He is a coward and brazilianbomber you can't argue this but I doubt you can. If you do, then you are in lust with Floyd. Plain and simple.

By the time Bob Arum/Oscar puts enough guaranteed money on the table for Floyd to fight Cotto you'll probably have started at least another hundred of these dumbass threads. When Floyd does eventually fight Cotto he'll win comfortably. Find something constructive to do with your life instead of pointless hating.

danny has a point guys. floyd is p4p the best in the boxing world, why do we protect a guy that holds the only honorable title left in boxing? we all should critize him for acting like a busniessman other then what he should be a goddarn boxer.

Is this what we want boxing to become more and more of? us fan should unite and drive this business bullshyt out from boxers. how can floyd ever really prove himself to really be an all time great if we keep getting deprive of fights we want to see him in.

theres no more pressure coming from fans, thats why as soon a fighter gets popular he starts acting like a little brat with all his purse demands. We should be the ones demanding we pay for the seats, the ppv and when you brake it down everything they make comes from our pocket. It should be us fans who demands the fights.

Boxing isn't dead cause of us loyal fans, but we are all letting the boxing world turn more and more into wwe kind of sport. I know fighters earn their paychecks the hard way in the ring, but in floyds position as p4p king. It is the majority of us that allows him to get away from having that title without really proving it day in and day out. Brake his career down and any knowledgeable boxing follower can see he is known to take the easier route. Floyd fans can deny that all day but its facts. P4p skills wise i agree he is arguebly king, but p4p as truly king of boxing. NO, he must beat true welterweights. Mosley, Margarito, Cotto. now is that time to do it too, 2008 is here.

I just think as p4p king floyd needs to act like a fighter with balls not a business man with skills of talking his ass out of fights.

I will give him credit sure.
But since Floyd don't want to fight, Cotto needs to take care of business and beat Cintron and Williams first and I hope he does soon back to back in 2008 this way Cotto will have more advantage with PBF as far as the venue and the glove size. If Cotto has 3 of the trinkets then I think it's fair to say that Cotto will be able to call the shots.

And to Kirkland Laing don't get mad because I don't like your lover boy Floyd. lol
You act like he is doing you in the rear. ha ha ha ha.

I think what you are reffering to are Floyd's nut huggers who follow him blindly and believe anything and everything he says and does. Those of us who are not blinded with lust over PBF can see the FACTS and can see right thru Floyd. Just be greatful you and I are not those blind nut huggers who are under Floyd's demonic spell. We say they truth and the nut huggers spread lies and make excuses for their so called pound for pound fake. lol

    CC and nice post.

Has nothing to do with Danny himself...I am going to petition that this forum be changed to the Cotto-Mayweather-Hatton forum

Look i hate PBF and for god sake i even wanted Hatton to win even though i had a better chance betting on Pacman to beat Oscar at 154 pounds. I just thought by the grace of god or Legion curse that something would give Hatton the win but o well. But Dan i like your effort but I not going to call PBF a ducker yet becasue he will make the fight happen just you wait it will happen. Alot of people hate Floyd and want him to lose but do not let it cloud your judgement on the man Floyd has fought good competion although some fights i would like to see never happened o well PBf is not the only one to have that happen to him. And then there is the other guy the PBF nut huggers that are just as bad in my eyes. Listen PBF is a ATG at 130 and 135 and that is all so far 140 no 154 no and 147 well time will tell. Hatton is not a good win at 147 he was not very proven at the weight. Then i also have to disagree big time with people saying since Hatton could not do it Cotto could not that is foolish. Cotto has a great chance with his jab and smart boxing skills and his different plains he will pull out and also just to through it in if PBF faces Paul Williams he will lose i well bet on it wait and see if the fight ever happens.
