The reason I ask is because I read in The Ring (I think) that he is punch drunk.
A real shame if it is true coz Norris is one of my top fighters from the 90s.

Balls
Yep, I'm pretty sure that Norris took too many shots. I remember watching him against Keith Mullings on the undercard of a DLH fight and he was WAY past it.
He wasn't here though:-

Its not as bad as people make out to be...He is doing fairly well....He does not have the money he made in the ring but other then that he lives like an ordinary guy....He has his own page on myspace...

Norris is doing just fine. I met him a couple of years ago in San Diego. Around the time he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. And he's a great guy. He talked normal and didn't seem punch drunk at all.Originally Posted by porkypara
That is great news - I always liked 'Terrible' and heard that he was in rough shape.

Who can forget that great fight Norris had with Troy Waters? 3 of the best rounds you will ever see!
ICE do you have this?
Norris did settle a lawsuit he had against Don King in 2005 for 7.5 million dollars.
I would not call him bad off financially
Chaps nice to hear it, He gave lots of pleasure.

Norris was always an amazing fighter just a shame he had demons that caused him to have more losses than he should have. Norris always had suspect chin and a big punch which always made him exciting. I'll always admire Norris for having a lot of courage, i mean he got sparked out by Julian Jackson in 2 rounds. Then what does he do ?? not even 1 year after Jackson fight he steps in there with a huge puncher like John Mugabi. And to the surprise of everyone he made Mugabi do the chicken dance with a left hook and drops him only 1 minute 30 into the fight. Then finishes off Mugabi with an overhand right i believe ?? that was brutal.
When he stepped in there with an old Leonard he took flush hard shots very well i think. And even though Leonard was old like i just mentioned i think he took those shots very well because Leonard is a good puncher. I also remember in that fight that Norris was lucky not to get DQ because he hit Leonard while he was down if i remember right ?? but still a boxing masterclass at its best.
His fight with Donald Curry another masterclass from Norris he controlled a good fighter like Curry all the way. And finished him in impressive style thats the thing i always liked about Norris, that if he got his opponent in trouble he always had great finishing instincts and always finished his opponent in impressive fashion.
Norris vs Castro another favorite of mine because Norris just beat the living hell out of Castro from start to finish. But credit to Castro his famous granite chin got him to the end somehow.
Norris vs Taylor the hand speed in that fight from both men was incredible, but unfortunately Taylor was only competitive for 1 round then the bigger and stronger Norris took over and destroyed Taylor in impressive fashion.
Norris vs Blocker another quick and exciting finish from Norris he destroyed good fighter like Blocker in impressive fashion.
Norris vs Waters ?? wow is i can say Waters drops Norris with an uppercut i believe ?? Norris is badly stunned but gets up then starts to beat the living hell out of Waters, then with about 15 seconds left in the fight Waters rocks Norris with a good right hand then Norris comes back and lands a few shots after the bell, amazing round amazing fight.
Norris vs Brown the 1st fight fight is not a favorite of mine because Norris got KO in the 1st fight obviously. 2nd fight i enjoy though because Norris bravely comeback from that KO loss and gave Brown a boxing lesson from start to finish.
Overall one of the best Jr Middleweights of all time if not the best, and P4P one of the most exciting fighters of all time.
CC Ice have not watched those fights in ages but it brings back memories. Brilliant fighter loved watching his skills. Showed a fight of his to a friend who does martial arts, it was on the same tape of a Roy Jones fight who he wanted to see. He said his balance and combinations were lightening.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
CC back mate Norris is one of my favorites.Originally Posted by Master
