jesus... he is looking good... i hope the old roy is back for at least one more fight~!
I would still like to see Calzaghe vs Jones wonder if thats why Jones is fighting at 170lbs only 2lbs above supermiddle perhaps he thinks he will get him after Hopkins.
This doesn't show enough, His handspeed has always been insane, I want to see heavy bag work to see if he still has the power, or him sparring 12-14 rounds to see if he has found his legs. He had regained his handspeed when Tarver ko'ed him, He had his handspeed when he did nothing against Tarver in their third fight, he handspeed againt Johnson, but he couldn't move his feet fast enough. Roy does have great reflexes, but like Hopkins he also has great intuition, the only problem is he has to be able to move his whole body out of the way which he hasn't been able to do.
That Video was 1 year ago wasn't it ??
Roy just weighed in at 169.5 lbs! The lightest hes been in almost 12 years! I cant help but wonder how he will take punches at this weight, and if he has much power.
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
No way Roy Jones is scoring a KO, he'll win by a lansdide points decision.
We'll see we are talking about Trinidad who has been knocked down many times in his career early, and ko'ed by Hopkins who hits hard, but not as hard as Roy even now.
I know mate but Roy has not scored a KO in 6 years and has not made 12st 2lbs since 1996 so surely he does not have enough power for a KO but we'll soon see tommorow night but thats just my opinion.Originally Posted by Taeth
All I am saying is it doesn't seem like he has had that hard of a time making weight, and he had the best he has shown in his last fight up until that point. Another thing is that Trinidad isn't a pressure fighter like the last two guys Jones has foughten so he will have more room to throw harder punches than we've seen lately.
Nothing surprising there about RJJ, hes always had great handspeed.
