Its on now ! May 3rd. IMO this is a great waste of a fight for De La Hoya and he will easily beat Forbes. I hope this is only one of his weaker fights and all 3 are not weak compared with this one.

Hmm I guess he thought Ricky Hatton was not small enough
zzzzzz
What a jackass. It's at a catch weight of 150!! Forbes is small!! Margarito was free for a fight.Does he expect us to thank him for giving us this freebie? Listen, there was a time when Oscar was not only calling the shots but fighting tough fights too. No-one can deny that. However,as he's become more of a promoter,he is nothing but an "event" now.
One year since his last fight, he needs tomget a tune up. What better than drawing a small guy way out of his weight....
It's just like blooding the hounds.

Forbes could give De La Hoya all kinds of trouble and fighting at 150lbs perhaps this means De La Hoya vs Mayweather wil be at 147lbs
Why is he fighting Forbes I was hoping he was gonna fight someone decent that was in his weight class or around it.
I pray that Forbes pulls a Baldomir type upset so we don't have to see De La Hoya Vs Mayweather 2
ODLH is picking on little guys now
i understand people not likeing delahoya but im kinda neutral on this subject. look, if he really wants to comeback and be seriouse he has to stay active and right now that activity has to start with a win.
That's what I'm hoping. 'Maybe' they realised gym fitness and fight fitness is harder to maintain when you're older so it's a tuneupOriginally Posted by hitmandonny

Lucky Forbes.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
...Forbes is not in my top 10 of fighters ODH needs to fight.....not really even in the top 20.
Good for Steve but it's a pathetic fight to be honest
I wouldnt count forbes our just yet. This fight will likely go the distance. Forbes has never been stopped. There is a first time for everything but at 150 Oscar will not have much on his punches imo. If Forbes can stay busy throwing a lot of punches and get underneath Oscar punches, in and out he can win a decision, though it would have to be decisive. Oscar does have more advantages especially being the much bigger guy, but Forbes is a good solid fighter with good skills.
