Saw today an advert in the Boxing News where John Thaxton calls Amir Khan a chicken. It is funny as he is in a chicken farm, with hundreds of chickens behind him and he demands to know where Amir is so that he can give him his for feathers. Good publicity stunt on the eve of Amir's big fight and will certainly get his attention.

Remember when Holyfield did something similar in the Ring, where he was holding up bags of money and wanting a fight with Tyson. Should Witter try to do the same with Hatton?

Yeah I saw this a while back, pretty funny. I think Thaxton will give Amir a decent test but Thaxton just wants the cash in my opinion. I'm not sure Witter has the Wit to do anything like this though, he is a really boring bloke.

No he is the guy people beat on the way up . Colin Dunn stopped him with a body shot over a decade ago , he's been stopped by Jason Rowland , Ricky Hatton beat him on the way up . Eamon Magee knocked him out even Augustus knocked him out. This was when he was in his prime too . All these years later he is just waiting for his turn against the cash cow .

Thaxton deserves it he is doing well at the moment and wants to get the fight now while Amir is at this level. I hope it work for him, it is not malicious and is good for the sport. Hope he gets the fight this year.

I'm sure I saw in another post that he only does this kind of thing after a fight is announced not before.
