    Default John "The goalkeeper" Duddy

    Wot a shocker !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive just watched the Duddy fight from last night , man Gatti had a water tight defece compared to this guy. I mean his oponant couldnt miss him with any punch.
Duddy has got a big heart and is exciting but i think hes miles of a fight with Pavlik , who at this stage would easily KO him.
I did enjoy Duddies honest interview after the fight , he seems like a great guy.
wot and how did you guys see it ?

duddy is real popular here cuz there is a huge isish population in NY, so when u go into certain bars they will have on MSG which plays a duddy fight like 15 times a month, i never liked duddy much but i think hes gonna have to get KTFO before he realizes his limitations

All I know is Pavlik will beat him criminally; he'll look like he fell in a wood chipperafter a fight with Kelly. That cut on his eye was horrible, and he better wait a while because Pavlik will knock his eye out if it doesn't get time to heal properly He is a rugged, game guy though, and props to his opponent as well.

Give him credit he can take one hell of a shot, even 9 or 10 at once

He'd have a great chance against Calzaghe I reckon, no way his frail hands could take that face pounding.

I did not watch the entire fight yet but the little fat guy had deceptive hand speed. Later rounds, Duddy began boxing more instead of brawling. Cost him his fight with Pavlik but what an entertaining fight this was. I never thought much of Duddy other than he is entertaining.

It was entertaining to watch. Duddy got hit hard and often, seemed to take him to about rnd 4 before he realised that boxing might be a good idea. As far as Pavlik goes, he get beaten like a red headed stepson.

He needs to wait a bit and get some good quality fights under his belt and improve his defense.

exactly right. this is what’s called getting in tough. you don’t need a big name, you need desire, determination factor some decent skills and Bingo ! . the fellow Duddy fought had these traits !
Anytime you comes to fight, and the guy across from you comes to fight .. get ready for anything to happen, The fans win no matter what happens !
