Default Greatest Final (Scheduled) Rd's in Boxing History?

Just of the top of my head:

    1. ali-shavers (15): having hurt ali in the 14th and behind in points, shavers launches an all out attack in order to KO ali. After surviving, ali retaliates furiously and almost KO's shavers in the last 30 seconds.

    2. de la hoya-quartey (12): needing a big closing round, oscar floors quartey and pummels him in an extended rally against the ropes, as a game quartey continues to throw punches. great announcing added to the drama, as jim lampley presciently says, "ODLA has a reputation as an amateur and a professional of fighting great closing rounds when he needs to. never in his long career has he more badly needed a great closing round than right now." 2 seconds later, boom! quartey hits the canvas.

    3. leonard-Hearns II (12): seemingly ahead by points, hearns attempts to close the show and goes for a KO. leonard retaliates by almost KOing hearns in a rally eerily reminiscent of their first fight. high drama.

    4. chavez taylor I (12): chavez, heavy handed and patient as always, concludes a remarkable comeback by KOing taylor, an accomplishment often overshadowed by the refs controversial call.

    Holmes-Norton definitely deserves a mention

I liked Jirov-Toney but it probably wouldn't make most peoples list

Don't forget Trinidad-Vargas. That was truly a great perfromance by Trinidad in that round. Also, de la Hoya-Quartey, the last fight Oscar truly impressed me even though he might have lost on paper.

I am a huge fan of Trinidad's but that fight with Vargas was pretty much over after the 9th which was the really big round of that fight and it is where Trinidad decisively takes over. Round 12 was more of the icing on the cake kinda thing...and that was the mother of all icings.

Quartey vs DLH is significant because I believe that was the last last-stand that DLH ever did...and it was great. He needed some more of those later in his career.

    Sanches - Nelson
    Chavez - Taylor 1
    Marquez - Vazquez 3

Are the ones that stick out the most to me.
