Default Haye - Macca...."they fell for it big time"

Just watched the live weigh in for the big fight tomorrow.

Adam Booth (Haye's trainer) was interviewed by Setanta and his opening line was "they fell for it"

He went on to explain that Haye's weight drain problems are all bullshit. The bullshit was actually started by Haye himself. Apparently this fabrication started because Haye and Booth didn't think Warren would put Enzo in with Haye , unless he had a significant advantage (the weight issues).

Booth went onto to say that Haye always makes the weight comfortably and the lie was actually started a while back by David Haye in post fight interviews etc...to try and entice Macca and Warren into a future big money fight. Apparently Booth was very surpised at this tactic as he had no idea what Haye was doing.....but Haye obviously did.

Sounds a bit far fetched but i've just been thinking about it now and i have come the conclusion that there may be truth behind it seen as tho....

    a) Haye has come in 2 pounds under the limit and he's actually been taking on fluids right up to the weigh in. Now 2 pounds is quite a lot. Everyone made a big deal when Hatton came in 2 pounds under against Mayweather....altho i appreciate 2 pounds at cruiser is slightly different than it is at lighter weights

    b) Why would Booth say this now if it wasn't true? Because now if Haye loses there is no excuse. He always had the weight issue to fall back on. Booth seemed extremely confident and the way he said "they fell for it big time" was very believable.

    Thoughts anyone?

As I said on the RBR thread, Haye looked like a fuckin monster with a 10 pack instead of 6 , Imagine taking a hayemaker from that beast

I actually believe there claims and I mean why would Warren put Enzo in with Haye they worked a treat on the WBO (Warren Boxing Organization) and I hope Haye wins in style. Haye could go back and eat now and weight in 15 pounds over the cruiser limit on the day of the fight.

I truly cannot wait for this fight, somebody is getting brutally KO'd

Glad to hear it, no bullshit weight drained excuse. I've been saying it for a long time that Haye was either exxaggerating, or just didn't realise that practically everyone struggles to make weight.

Cheers for the infop ono, been looking all over the web for the weigh in results,

Mate, they both came up to each other but nothing was said, handshakes all round and Calzaghe was there to support Macca. The arena in the background looked brilliant.

So was his moving up to heavyweight just for show or is he still planning on it? I don't think he should, he could have alot of good fights at cruiser where I think he is way more dangerous.

Adam Booth said he only took the one fight at Heavy to see how he handled it because that's where he wants to rule after this fight.

Probably a bit more money and fame at Heavy.

He said he can easy make cruiserweight and that he does not need to move up to heavy but he WANTS to as he wants to become heavyweight champion of the world. He said he will move up to heavy after this though definitely. If he beats Macca i would like to see him with all 4 belts by challenging Cunningham as he would travel to England and then sort out the British heavyweight mess.

I can't wait for these guys to fight, because they both talk way to much. I mean is this pre-fight hype or Maury Povich?

Maury: Go ahead David tell Enzo why you brought him here.

David: You know I love you Enzo, but I wanted this fight so bad and since I didn't think your promoter would give it to me.......I lied about my weight issues.

    *crowd gasps*

Maury: How do you feel about that Enzo?

Enzo: I knew something was wrong when he didn't show up to the press conference. Its not like him to miss a chance to talk. I mean he said he was sleeping, but I just knew something else was going on.

David: I'm sorry Enzo, I just thought since you guys were moving around weigh-in and press conference times you didn't want to see me anymore.

Enzo: Thats not true David. I just thought you were scared of seeing me.

Maury: Will be right back after the break.

I think he should fight Cunnigham to unify, then the Bell-Adamek winner, those could make good money. Then he would be like Evander undisputed moving up because there's nothing left.

I would'nt think there is much point in fighting Bell, he's getting on now and he got beat by Mormeck who Haye KO'd in the 7th so with the WBA,WBC,WBO,IBF belts he should move up and fight Wlad IMO.

I think he got worked over in France, he had Mormeck in trouble a few times and the round were ended prematurely, like at 2 minute rounds, more than once it happened. Mormeck was running for the hills from about the 8th or 9th

I want Haye to move up to heavyweight as they are all for the taking. In time he will be able to beat the Klitchko's and unify the titles.

You never take a fight on rumours, They looked at what he showed and fancied the job. Hes playing mind games why. If hes that confident why.

This means he's got no wieght-drain excuse for being chinny at cruiser and that if he does move up to heavy he's going to be in big trouble every time he gets hit on the chin. He has fought one heavyweight but that was a guy Audley Harrison felt comfortable fighting. Looks like Haye is going to be the new Herbie Hide of the heavyweight division.

Probably heart over head a little but I still fancy Enzo in this fight.
