Default Alfonso Gomez hospitalized BuildUp WebiSode #3

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDfXX_-aI6o

    Or

    Alfonso S. Gomez

    They are the same video.

He said he wanted to be an actor. I think he is getting pretty good. The hospital scene reminded me of a cheap Mexican soap opera.

if he gets sparked out in a round or two these films will be in the back of my head.

    haha what a cheesy video!

Loved the Rocky comeback music and training.

He didn't run up any steps at the end though or slow motion run across the beach and have a gay embrace with his trainer in the sea.

He's got no clue what being a real Rocky is all about.

That's right and he didn't even hit any animal carcases or chase any chickens around - Nothing. His mouth is symmetrical and doesn't grimace just on one side like he's had a stroke. And you can understand what he's saying. Phhhhtt, Rocky may ass.

He must have been advised to do a melodramatic contender type thing. Something that shows his personal life, his hardships.

Too bad that type whole thing was pretty lame on the Contender and it's even worse when one guy is doing it.

Danny_G said it, it is like a boxing soap opera. Next episode we will see that Alfonso didn't get his period and he will break down in tears because he was inseminated by Cotto

I said it before, and I'll say it again, Gomez's head has swelled beyond belief with self importance ever since he beat Gatti.

And since he signed on to fight Cotto, his self importance has gotten even worse, to the point that I have lost so much repect for him.

Watching his self promoting video is vomit inducing.

I think that's a bit harsh Diane. He's justifiably proud of having vindicated himself through beating Gatti and proving he wasn't just a reality star and he's obviously proud to be facing Miguel Cotto and confident of his chances.

But I've never heard him trash talk anybody or belittle his opponents. He's a million miles away from the likes of Judah, Tarver, Hopkins etc.

i still see him as one of the good guys of the sport. He conducts himself well I think.

The thing is Bilbo, I know a lot about Gomez, things that you don't know or haven't seen. So, of course you wouldn't understand my view. Trust me I used to be a fan of his when The Contender came out, but my view of him has changed, because of things I have come to know, and from work I have done with someone from his team. I'm not just basing it on this one cheesy ass video.

I can hear the excuses now...oh I was sick in training camp, oh they weren't filming me from my good side when I was k.o.'d by Cotto. That was possibly the cheesiest video I've seen in awhile. I think it was probably more nerves that made his pancreas swell.

Fair enough I don't know any more about him than his appearances in front of the camera

It would be funny to see Gomez knock out Cotto for over looking him.

I've been watching his countdown shows and since the other day that he was sparring he said he felt sick.

I thought it was real but from seeing this... Wow!!

I'm with Diane on this one. I used to respect Alfonso a lot and he was my fav. Contender but this shit has steeped him low. IMO.

What a fucking giant douche. At least being hospitalized won't be a foreign feeling when Cotto puts him there.
