    Default Wlad is funny fella

BBC SPORT | Boxing | Klitschko welcomes Haye challenge

Be sure to check out the audio. He's a funny guy, talking about David Haye.

He's incredibly magmanimous and generous in his praise of Haye whilst at the same time managing to sound like he clearly regards him as no threat at all.

When asked about his next opponent he makes a joke about yes he continuing to fight regularly because he must prepare for the Haye challenge.

I got to admit whilst he bores me oftentimes in the ring outside of it he regularly has me in stitches.

He is sounding more and more like Stephen Hawkings though.

If you ask me he sounds almost exactly like Borat. It's just a shame he really isn't an exciting fighter to watch, as he is a great guy for the sport outside of the ring.

LOL! I guess the old saying is true, You are only as good as your last performance. The guy has dynamite in both hands, has the same KO ratio as Mike tyson but yeah, what a boring fellow huh?

I've never enjoyed watching him fight, didn't even see the full fight against Ibragimov as it was only aired a week later here and I'd heard how bad it was. He has excellent power no doubt, but he's too robotic and upright. He just sets up the right hand with his jab, never really mixes it up, doesn't look to counter, doesn't really see shots coming well.. I just don't find him fun to watch. I'd much rather see a guy with feather fists who fights more fluidly and uses angles, sets traps, rolls with shots, etc.

He will also be lying on the floor unconscious later this year and Haye looking over him with the IBF and WBO Heavyweight belts.

That will happen, it's just a matter of time until Wlad stops running from the Hayemaker.

Wlad is a funny guy and I like watching his fights....different fans like different stuff. I didn't like the Ibragimov fight but I understand why he fought that way. Wlad doesn't fight every fight like that and he does throw a lot of punches sure he throws a lot of jabs but if you watch his fights that jab is basically a power punch.

Ali, Holmes, and many others would have also been boring if they were given the division today....Wlad fights his opponents he can't make THEM fight him in a better way or attack in a better way. Wlad is just so dominant he can make a fight boring just because he takes the hope out of fighters with that crazy 1-2 he has

I always find it funny how boxers can be so oblivious to their surroundings. He heard of Haye only a month ago? I could understand if Haye was a featherweight, but even if he doesn't watch the sport so much, Haye is a champion only one division below Wladimir and has been talked about as a possible opponent for a long time now. How only a month ago?

Anyways, Wlad isn't ducking anybody and I'm glad he's open to fighting Haye, hopefully that could get done because regardless of whether or not he's proven anything at heavyweight, I'd much rather Wlad fight David Haye then any of the other heavyweights. Get some guys with a legitimate offensive attack in there.

I'd rather Haye fight a couple fights at heavyweight and build up to a mega fight instead of Wlad fighting Haye right away.

Let's see Wlad vs: Thompson, Povetkin, Sam Peter, and the Chagaev-Valuev winner.

And let's see Haye vs: Chambers, Arreola, Dimitrenko, Virchis, and maybe even John Ruiz.

Let the hype build up a bit and give the division a showcase battle of the ages a la Holyfield-Bowe. If Haye can take Wlad's punches and keep coming then he can make a huge entertaining heavyweight fight happen.

I think it'll be more Hearns-Duran than Holyfield-Bowe but hey you might see it differently

I would like to see it build up but to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure Haye wouldn't end up stumbling on the way especially versus Chambers or Povetkin.

However, I think if you get him in the ring with Wlad it is going to be an entertaining fight no matter what. If they can build it up to be equally as big outside the ring as it should be inside, that's great. If not, then I want to see it now

I think Haye easily bests Chambers because Chambers doesn't have a high workrate. Povetkin's chin in my opinion is not up to snuff and though it would be a tough fight I think haye could best him as well.

Arreola in my opinion would be a tougher test for him and perhaps Sultan because he can counter quickly and from odd angles.

Spot on as always with Heavies Lyle. I'd like to see Haye get a title first and then have a unification bout with Klitschko. That would be exciting.
