Default WTF...Vitali tries second run to become major of Kiev...

Damn it Vitali what will it be...Writing boxing history and become the first 2 brothers ever holding a major title at heavyweight...Or becoming another corrupt politician...

    Here is the story:

WBC "Champion Emeritus" Vitali Klitschko today registered for his second run to become mayor of Kiev. Klitschko is the WBC's mandated challenger for WBC heavyweight champion Sam Peter, but instead of training for that fight, Vitali will be on the campaign trail until the May 25 election. Klitschko previously ran for the post in 2005, coming in second to businessman Leonid Chernovetskiy who has been accused of corruption with the government calling for an early election. If Klitschko were to become mayor, it's unlikely he would continue to pursue the fight with Peter.

This shows his lack of seriousness when it comes to boxing. It was "something to do" until something better came along. When you prepare for a fight with that mentality you tend to get knocked out. Regardless if Klitschko may have been better than Peter at some point in the past, fighting Peter now would be the biggest mistake possible for him to make.

Vitali still wants to fight Peter, win or lose
WBC "Champion Emeritus" Vitali Klitschko today registered for his second run to become mayor of Kiev. Klitschko is the WBC's mandated challenger for WBC heavyweight champion Sam Peter, but for the immediate future Vitali will be on the campaign trail until the May 25 election. Klitschko previously ran for the post in 2005, coming in second to businessman Leonid Chernovetskiy who has been accused of corruption with the government calling for an early election. If Klitschko were to become mayor, he still wants his mandatory shot at Peter. "Vitali will definitely fight for the the title, win or lose," Klitscho's manager Bernd Boente told Fightnews.com. Boente said WBC president Jose Sulaiman has already been notified and agreed. The fight between Klitschko and Peter won't happen until September or October at the earliest due to the Olympics and European soccer championships. If Vitali wins the election and beats Peter, he would be the first mayor of a major city to concurrently hold the heavyweight title.

Im tired of hearing about Vitalis possible comeback. "Champion Emeritus" or whatever the f@ck its called is a joke. He a retired boxer who holds no titles. He is not relevant in the heavyweight division and hasnt been for a long time. Maybe he can fight Tyson for his Emeritus title.

Just thought I'd mention he's running for mayor and not major.

In order for him to be a major he'd have to be in some type of service.

I think it's a bit ridiculous for him to plan on fighting Sam Peter, and training for that fight, while running for mayor Maybe it's just a ploy to keep his name out there in the sport, and then given some time he'll have a better idea of which option is more realistic to pursue(running for Mayor again, or trying to be champ again). Either way, for him to even pretend that he intends to do both simutaneously is a joke imo.

He's running for a position that has been corrupted in the past, perhaps because he wants to better the state of his home and the lives of it's inhabitants, I can't blame him for that.
Beating Peter will prove a lot less than becoming a just and competent mayor.

I totally agree in fact i think he is one of the most overrated Heavyweights since Mike Tyson, just because he gave an aging out of shape Lewis a tough fight but lost, all these Vitali fans now think he could beat fighters like Ali, Lewis, Foreman, etc. And they also think he can leap over tall buildings. Its just ridiculous i did used to like Vitali but him quitting against Byrd and then wasting our time and more importantly wasting the fighters time by backing out of 3 fights isn't it now ?? and then he keeps going on and on about Lewis like he is obsessed with him, i mean really just get over it Vitali you was lucky Lewis was in bad shape and aging anyway. Vitali could could of been good for Heavyweight boxing now i wish he would stay retired, because if he did comeback and win a belt then the titles would never get unified with both brothers holding the titles and that would be even worse for Heavyweight boxing, if it can get any worse. Vitali is a good fighter but not as good as these Klitschko fans would lead you to believe, he is very robotic and even though i dislike Wladimir i think he is a better fighter than Vitali, its just Vitali has an iron chin. If Wladimir had his brothers chin i wouldn't hesitate putting all my money on him against any Heavyweight out there.

Vitali has done more to stand in the way of a undisputed heavyweight champion then any other person in the past 5 years. He caused over a 1 year delay in the Maskaev vs Peter fight, and now he is demanding his shot at Peter but wont fight him until Oct. WTF? Stop being a prick and let your little brother become undisputed heavyweight champion.
