    Ok a few days training to catch up on here I suspect.
    Friday:
    (Olympic Boxing Club)
    Bagwork;
    10 x 2 minute rounds. Spaced ut a different times....No problems
    Shadow Boxing;
    8 x 2 minute rounds. Again at different times, not very beneficial.
    Roadwork;
    Was frustrated with training so went for a mile and came back
    Padwork;
    3 x 2 minute rounds with another guy. Not good technically, but got for fitness. I wasn't fit to go three with him before, this time he was found wanting air.
    Calisthenics;
    Some pressups.

    Saturday;
    (Galway City Gym)

    It was a bad day at training.
    The guy I was training with majorly wimped out when it got hard and I slowed for him like a fool.
    Irratating and I'll remeber that in the future.
    Pat says he's not cut out for it. He's got all the physical tools but lacks heart.

    Sunday was a day of rest.
    I got up this morning (Monday) there was snow everywhere and it made for a lovely run. The air was so fresh and clean, it just had to be good.
    I did the "boxers jog" four miles, finishing at a sprint. Nice run.

    Will be at training later this evening.
    Have to review nutrition.

    I might try and get a fight or two in England during the summer, but generally I'm just trying to keep in shape and learn some new tricks!

    Gotta admire a marathon runner, whats the regime like?

    You have very good footwork and you're good at walking your opponent down. I know its only sparring...but if I were to criticise I'd say work on using your jab to set up your combinations and protect your body more. Just an impression I got from that short clip...

    As I said it's only light sparring and I'm not sharp, but I'm pleased you could see something positive in it.
    Thank you

    When it gets dark just after 5 o Clock I refer to it as night.
