Thread: Sturm wins over Pittman by tko in rnd 7...some pics and complete fight vid...

Sturm wins over an outclassed,but brave Jamie Pittman...Sturm won every rnd scoring a kd in rnd 5(left hook to the body) in rnd 6 another one(bodyshot and hook to the head) and in rnd 7 when the brave Australien did go down again for the third time in the fight the ref stopped it...

Sturm looked sharp being very accurate throwing a few uppers for a change... Sturm did move good tonight with the usuall good guard,but also ducking punches which I missed in his last 2 or 3 fights...good win,but Pittman was totally outclasses...

Just when I thought I couldn't dislike Sturm more he screws up my joker pick.

Basically I don't care about boxing anymore unless it relates to the prediction contest.

The TKO part, Sturm should be predictable and box to an easy UD

Yeah... I was surprised too...A friend and I joked if we actually go to boxfight it will be Felix Sturm...at least we get to see 12 rnds for our money...

lol I'm exactly the same bud, I expected Sturm to jab and plod his way to another unsatisfactory decision

In one of his most impressive performances ever, WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (29-2-1, 13 KOs) scored a seventh round knockout of previously unbeaten Jamie Pittman (16-1, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the sold out Burg-Waechter Castello in Duesseldorf, Germany. Midway through the first round, Sturm began to find a home for his right hand -- on the jaw of the tall, southpaw Pittman. Pittman was busier in round two, but it was still Sturm landing the cleaner punches. Pittman was cut over the right eye. Sturm continued to demonstrate his championship technique as he dissected Pittman in the ensuing rounds. A left hook to the body from Sturm in round five dropped Pittman to his knees, but the game Aussie finished the round. The beating continued in the sixth as Sturm floored Pittman again with a left-right combination. Pittman's left eye was closed at the end of the round. Sturm was in 'search and destroy' mode in the seventh as he looked to finish Pittman, which he did after 36 seconds. Referee Russell Mora waved it off after Sturm decked Pittman for the third time.

No surprise there. Don't know who put Pittman in there but they should be the one getting their ass kicked. I think that was only Pittmans 17th pro fight, that's too early. Thanks for the pics and vid.

I was surprised at the KO too, but it was way to soon for Pittman to be in the ring with a guy like Sturm!
